As long as people do this without external programs, then it's legit, though TNT has been heard to freeze people for doing this, which is stupid, since they haven't gone to the extent of inserting some sort of Failsafe to combat Sniping.

they've even frozen people? How do you prove to them you didn't do anything wrong? You have to get over that crap when they do it on eBay in the real world, why would you get busted for doing something like that? What kind of fail safe would be installed? "Sorry! You can't bid on this item because it is ending very soon and that would be cheating if you won!"
Thats the trouble with TNTs rules - your guilty untill proven innocent....

They dont have any way to prove that you cheated, and its impossible to prove that you did not cheat. Even if you recorded yourself doing the actions, I highly doubt that they would unfreeze your account still.

That might be the case, if one could ever be proven innocent..

Hey, TNT! *gives cookies* Just a quick question that's been bugging me for months. If I accidentally misprice, let's say, a Draik potion in an auction listing (resulting in a loss of 8 million Neopoints), would Neomailing the winner and asking for the item back in return for the Neopoints they bid be against the rules? ~star_days
Politely contacting the person, alerting them of your mistake, and asking them if they'd be willing to undo the transaction is fine. However repeatedly Neomailing them, harassing them if they decline, or encouraging others to "spam" them is not allowed. Please remember that an auction or shop misprice like that is your own fault, and while it would be very kind of the person to assist you, they are within their right to keep the item. Please do note that they don't have the right to harass you, though. If you politely contact them and they harass you (with personal attacks, for example, not simple rudeness), then they've crossed the line into reportable territory themselves.

i don't see how it's possible to monitor the SW for these items enough to make a profit. correct me if i'm wrong, but what are the chances someone prices a lab map piece or a codestone for ridiculously low prices?
Newbs and noobs who get them through RE's and keyquest and have no idea what it's worth. Believe it or not my brother found the most expensive map piece on the first day and sold it for 10k because he thought it was a lot

Much to tedious to keep refreshing the SW for me but I can be very profitable if you come accross a good snipe.
A USAB makes this simple, give it an list of items to search for and the max price, and alas it does the rest..
I have found at least a couple of mispriced items an hour.

I play legit, and I've seen it happen VERY often. Even without the newbies, sometimes people just overlook that they forgot to put in that extra "0". Which is why sometimes you get lucky and get a 3,000 np item for 300 np, or better.

exactly. I've seen it more often when I wasn't trying to.
