Oh, I think I would want to hear stillness. I mean what I now consider silence. Even though I'm sitting in a bedroom with no music, tv or other loud noise, there are still a myriad of things I hear: the hum of my laptop computer's cooling fan, the washing machine in the next room, the air circulating through vents in the ceiling and wall. Even a plane overhead outside. That'd be the weirdest thing to not hear - background noise.

I don't know if I could listen to a song I really loved right before I went deaf. It might depress me to no end knowing that I'd never hear it again.

I'm curious as to how vibrations sound to deaf people?
I mean, if you put in amazing earplugs and sit on a subwoofer, you still hear some noise. But if you dont have the ability to hear ANYTHING, including resonating sound throughout your body, does it feel like a phone vibrating or is it something completely new?
Does your body adapt and start to read vibrations and translate them into sound?
I cant imagine a deaf person not hearing anything at all. It's more like they would constantly be hearing muffled background noise.
I've never known a completely deaf person, every single one I've known still has limited hearing ability. Even if they cant make out words by sound alone and rely on lip reading and signing.
Ugh, Im over analyzing.
