Half the show is filler and each of the "story arks" are way too long, anyone who watches and likes the show has way too much time on their hands.

I guess the idealist nature of Naruto is what keeps me watching it...I got time to watch it and its definitely not a waste of my time.I know Naruto is not that good but Naruto Shipuuden is alot better...try watching it,maybe you only watched Naruto

Watch Naruto? It's 220 episodes long, with that I could watch like 8-10+ different series in the span it would take to watch Naruto alone, so I haven't even watch that.

A few episodes is all it took, along with the laughable fanbase and amount of filler that is in the series, and like I said before, I don't want to watch 25+ episodes on one story ark of the series when I can watch through something like Cowboy Bebop or Neon Genesis Evangelion instead.

Even though I love naruto, I'll agree with Elin. Too much filler & junk episodes. You could pretty much cut down the whole show {normal + shippuuden} down to around 50 episodes.

And yes, I do have too much time on my hands.

And JC, they don't power up.

The characters train constantly to get stronger and practice loads to get good at using techniques with their chakra.

All I know is this shit comes on after X-Men Evolution (fuck youuuuuuuu i gotta get my wolverine fix somehow) and I want to shoot the theme song.
I actually attempted to watch it once, and it was sooooo slow. I remember lots of pictures of leaves and grass blowing. I think there was some little kid talking to some slow grandma/grandpa or something too.
