I actually am afraid of gay men, that makes me a homophobe. I can't really say it any plainer than that. In truth, I'd rather pretend or rather believe, one's orientation has no effect on me - or matters at all. Just me speaking out loud.
I'm not really afraid. Just creeped out when they look at me / touch me.

Being heterosexual, one can claim it is a evolutionary defense mechanism. I dare you to prove me wrong.
honestly everyone has their opinion, and everyone can be straight, gay , bisexual , or whatever they want to be and everyone else should just suck it up if they don't like it. if you're a homophobe, that's fine, as long as no one is physically doing anything to anyone else, there's no reason to hate homophobes, they're equally as allowed to have an opinion/feelings as anyone else

First of all, wonderful example of the naturalistic fallacy. Just because it's natural, doesn't make it morally acceptable.Being heterosexual, one can claim it is a evolutionary defense mechanism. I dare you to prove me wrong.
Secondly, there's no benefit to being afraid of that which is no threat. In some species, non-breeding individuals actually increase the overall fecundity of a population. There is absolutely no evidence to back up your position.

Emphasising on no threat, most of them are sissies, straight up.

I would be creeped out if someone was randomly fondling me too!!

One can claim anything...

I feel the same about the president(s) sex scandals. What they do in their personal sex life has nothing to do with me. As long as they are doing a good job of running the country. (I personally don't want to hear about their personal lives either)
Regardless: I don't want to hear any other humans running around making a point of what they do with their sexual bits. I just never felt the need to tell others what my sexual prefs are...
On that note, I hope everyone is having an exceptional day.

Have you been touched by a homosexual, or was it just a sexual pervert? There's a difference, and people need to acknowledge it. Not all homosexuals are prone to molest people, but most sexual perverts are. Gay does not equal pervert.I'm not really afraid. Just creeped out when they look at me / touch me.

True, but that's why it's a phobia. As a child I found the beast Monstro in Disney's Pinocchio (and later in life, Moby Dick) disturbing, and now I get really anxious during nature specials about large aquatic creatures, particularly whales. And it's possibly why I generally dislike fat people. It's really stupid. You're right. There is no benefit of sweating at the sight of a blue whale. It is just an irrational fear I have.
So I can understand when people feel uncomfortable with homosexuality, but I still think it's really stupid.

Yes I have been. I know someone who is friends with some of my friends who is a homosexual.
& at a pool party he often touched me weird. It weirded me out a lot.

Look hunny, He was prolly messing with u because of the way u acted,
Ive hung out with plenty of Gay Men , Theres Nothing wrong with them,
Because they they get a kick out of a straight guy acting all weird an funny.
If this isnt the case then just state that you are a straight man, an if he touches you,
you will lay him out, Dont Gloate an make fun, Cause only makes u look like an ass.
Its there personal choice, Like its urs to be straight..
The moral of all this Gay people are Great, U should get a gay friend =P

Regardless of the sexual orientation, people just hope the other person will reciprocate. It's just more uncomfortable when straight people get hit on by gay people (generally), so they freak out

i think to some people the words fag and gay have lost meaning, as in they forget what they really mean to those who are homosexual...
Fag still means "faggot"... or a bundle of sticks. A fag was below being burned at the stake like the witches, so they just threw them in the fire like kindling... thus the term faggot.
Enjoy thinking about that the next time you call someone a fag

well of course all derogatory words have an etymology that has nothing to do with how we use them, what i meant was most people have lost sense of its bad connotation towards homosexuals

I'm fine with gay people.. really... as long as they don't touch me
why does everyone say this? they're fine with gay people as long as they don't interfere with their own life? personally i'm fine with gay people regardless what they decide to do with their life and how they interact with me. if they come on to me that's their own choice, im not gonna think any differently of them and no im not gonna just let them come on to me but it wouldn't change my view of them.

Also, there is a selection bias when it comes to "gay" behaviors. You remember the ones that are the most flamboyant, while you pay no attention to the regular old joes going about their everyday lives. I know lots of gay men, but only one you could really guess was gay. Most people on here probably know many gay people, they just don't know it!

grinds your 'gear' up against your pants after seeing such a public display of homoeroticism?tight leather jeans well lets just say; that really grinds my gears.
does the rest of the world use 'gear' as slang for penis or is that just where I live?

haha well that's not how I use it but reading his comment in that context seems pretty amusing
