It is summer and I am tired of laying around and I was wondering if any one had any ideas of a new programing language to learn that would be useful. I have learned Java, PHP, ASP.NET, VB, and MySQL. I have the new Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. Please feel free to through out some ideas that would be fun to learn.

PS: I prefer server side scripting ;)

Python, Perl or Ruby if you prefer server-side scripting languages.

If you know JAVA then you can do anything that you can with Python. I would work on further expanding your knowledge of JAVA if you're looking to do things server side. Expanding your knowledge on JAVA will probably benefit you more than starting any other language from scratch.

Thanks for the link. This would definitely be useful if t0m decided to start on Python.
