What you fail to acknowledge is that the USA also has a higher population than all of those nations. More people, more chances to land higher IQs. Also, the vast majority of the world recognizes that smart people go to America to make money, because money is quick here.

Im gunna have to ask you to explain the logic behind this sir.

I didnt read the whole topic. but are defending canada.

IQ is supposed to be a test of latent intelligence. So your upbringing, country of origin, first language, etc should not affect the outcome. Therefore the only variable that matters is the size of the test area. That is, the number of people in your country is directly proportional (in theory) to the amount of, say, geniuses in your country.

As to other countries recognizing America's greatness, google the Brain Drain. It's affecting africa right now, in that virtually anyone with a degree, a trained and educated person, is fleeing the continent for the West. Better salaries and increased opportunity are often the cause.

I should add a disclaimer: I don't think the IQ test is a very good measure of anything. In fact I think its arbitrary. I'd prefer to talk about the number of college graduates per capita a country has, how many degrees are issued, how many research institutions we've got, rather than a test that takes none of these things into account.

Google the IMF or the WorldBank. Ask yourself, can we afford to pay out that charitably when our own economy is shit?

Neither the IMF nor the World Bank are in any way charitable...

Essentially what they do is to go into debt-ridden countries, give them a loan and as part of the terms of the loan they then force the countries to adopt a certain level of free-market policies regardless of whether their economies are suitable or not.

Redlion the points you make are valid, but I truly didn't want to start another debate. I only wanted to prove that the absolute foundation of his questions were wrong. If you look at only average IQ, without diving into what entirely composes it, then his statement is wrong. His statement being:

"Well, unless you take into account that the average IQ of an American is less than any other country in the world bar Africa. (Yes, Africa is a country. A shit one)"

By only looking at one-dimensional facts this is a false statement.

I don't mind you pointing out facts either, but this thread is already getting far off topic.
