people tend to sway in the direction he argues for

it's because he's so good at debate. his arguments are all well-worded and thought out. it's hard to argue with stuff like that.

I'm just wondering why a vegan wouldn't use cotton

yeah, i'm also sorta wondering?

You are correct about most of what you said. I'm just wondering why a vegan wouldn't use cotton O_o

    Wool*

I don't know why I always mix those up. They're both white fluffy stuff. But yes, I meant wool, like off a sheep, not cotton. :p

    Veganism is murder.

Any "ism" in my book is considered a waste of time.

Iron and Protein are easily found in plenty of vegetables. If you go Vegan all willy-nilly and don't plan out your diet correctly, you'll end up unhealthy and deficient in some nutrients, but that's basically with any diet. Meat is really a pretty unnecessary thing to eat. I eat it because it tastes good.

It's a lot harder to get a healthy mix of amino acids in a diet without meat.

I am vegan now and have fluctuated from vegetarianism/ pescatarian/ vegan all my life. I am currently loving it and have a lot of energy/ feel very healthy. I say go for it.
At least try to incorporate more veggies daily :) Read "Eat to Live" by Dr. Fuhrman and The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone

You mean Eat to Live by Elijah Mohammad? Because that would be funnier...

Well I just try to eat as least meat as possible. It's hard to replace meat from our meals, and if you do it wrong you could end up unhealthy. If only there is some easy guide to do it right.
I don't understand why vegans won't drink milk. I don't see any harm from that.O_o

Dairy cows are arguably tortured more than ones that have been slaughtered.

"In order for a cow to produce milk, she must have a calf. Each "dairy cow" is impregnated every year so that she continues to produce a steady supply of milk. In nature, the mother's calf would drink her milk, eliminating the need for her to be milked by humans, but on factory farms, calves are taken away from their mothers when they are just 1 or 2 days old so that humans can have the milk that nature intended for the calves. Female calves are slaughtered immediately or raised to be dairy cows. Male calves are confined for 16 weeks to tiny veal crates that are so small they cannot even turn around in them. Because of the high demand for dairy products, cows are genetically engineered and fed growth hormones in order to force them to produce quantities of milk that are well beyond their natural limits. Even the few farmers who choose not to raise animals intensively must "get rid of" the calves (who would otherwise drink the milk) and send the cows off to slaughter when their milk production wanes."

Well I didn't know that. =.= What a scary world we live in. But I think there are other kinds of food that you can give to the calves instead of theirs mothers' milk (the milk replacer or sth)?:crybaby:
It seems that (well actually wiki says so:whistling:) India is the only place that treats cows well. Now I don't even want to eat anymore. XD

Well, believe it or not, cows are a sacred animal for their culture and most Indians are also vegetarians because of their beliefs but they do drink milk. The only drawback to their diet is...they like to eat very sweet stuff.

Oh and I guess if it counts Kobe-Japan treats their cows/bulls pretty well before slaughtering them. I think what they're doing is basically following the guidelines of a happy cow is a tasty cow(or steak).

Indeed but there is some half truth to it even though it's been twisted around by PETA.

PETA really does spew out some of the biggest bullshit propaganda I've seen since the old 1920s anti-marijuana videos. It's amazing how much stupidity can come from such a well-reputed organization.
