Okayy so i wanted to insert the possible causes for getting frozen in the poll's answers but then i realized it's not that simple with all those programs out there and the potential use of a proxy/no proxy etc, so if your answer is positive just include the reason why (or why you think) you got frozen, and whether you have a static ip or not/used a proxy etc in your post.

I'm asking because before my old account was stolen (and i still havent figured out how) i used refreshers for several hours everyday for months and months with a static ip and nothing ever happened to me.
Two days ago i started a new account from scratch, and since i didn't really manage to find an effective refresher i haven't been able to stop abusing a sponsor click program ;-;
I do use the ace auto refresher i found here, which is pretty much great, spider mode and all, but somehow it always stops working PRECISELY after 1676 refreshes, so i have to start it up again every half hour or so.

But i digress.
Anyway, i just wish to know some details about the rate at which "cheaters" get frozen, and why. Actually i've been wondering whether it could be possible that cheat programs like autoclickers for sponsor links or even refreshersaren't that likely to get you frozen, since clicking their sponsor links gets neopets some real life money, and so do pageviews since there are ads all over the place. I assume that's how it works. I could also be very wrong.


... I guess i might also be looking for some reassurance since, as i said, i've been abusing some programs, and probably will for another week until i have 1mil np and can start restocking effectively. I want to play neo and i want it NOW! >
Now i guess i can only count on my luck, or lack of thereof (;

Oh, and also, do you think me living in france and usually not playing at the same time tnt is working could have anything to do with how much i have been able to/can get away with?

well hello there ladies and gents! first let me tell you my incrrrredible storrry (okay maybe not so very incredible)

i started playing neopets back in 2005 and played on and off for two years, alternating between periods of complete neofrenzy (playing till 5am on many many school nights) and moments when i couldn't have cared less about that site.
i am the unsatiable type, and indeed much spider refreshing was done --i admit to it, and the miraculous (and totally random, i swear! <.<) finding of a few transmogrification potions did help me on my quest for a cute little vacumatic 9000... and for many other things.
but in spite of these copious amounts of cheating, i remained for most of the time quite a dedicated player. that was until i stopped playing neo altogether for six months when i was sent to an awful boarding school WITH NO INTERNET IN THE ROOMS, and just... forgot neopets even existed.

but two days ago, i suddenly felt the urge to play again. so there i was, rejoicing at the thought of finding my 6 millions neopoints safely sleeping in my bank, and badly wanting to check on my lil gallery of pink items and rare petpets. so i try to log in. the password's wrong. what the heck? nevermind, i think to myself, i must have forgot the actual one. i try to get my password resent to me. to no avail. what the heck? well nevermind, maybe they're having trouble sending mail. i browse my email box for all the messages related in any way to neopets and find the last password i had entered. this should be the right one.
uh oh.
via another account, i look at my "own" (or what used to be my own) user page. my pets' petpets are gone. my gallery is empty. i was looted D;

so the last spotted thingy on my profile said i was last spotted 190 days ago. that sounds about right. 6 months. but the problem is, i did the math on the calendar, and apparently i had last requested my password to be sent to me by email 195 days ago (in reference to my email box) just to check that everything was still safe. and everything was. so whoever got access to my old account took everything 5 days after that one request.
now, i am just left to wonder what the hell could have happened. i don't think i was cookie grabbed, since i didn't visit any website that had anything to do with neopets for months since i didn't play anymore. the login page wasn't a fake. i had a pin for pretty much everything on my account. and i would definitely have noticed a keylogger.


in any case, here i am for a fresh start. i know for sure that i will end up getting bored. maybe in one month, or it could be one year. but i might as well make it fun till then.
as for a more regular intro, i'm camille, 19, i live in france and like to play ice cream machine and video games in general.
oh and i don't know the first thing about programming anything. but i might get the sudden urge to learn. ta ta.
