yeah i don't really remember them every hooking up at all... I think she just named her son after forest because forest was probably the only male person in her life that ever truly cared about her

it all depends on the definition of marriage.
on one hand it is a religious thing. and i believe that is generally where most of the christians are opposing gay marriage.
however from a government perspective regarding tax rights of married couples, i think that's what gay couples are fighting for.
if government is truly seperation of church and state then they should define marriage as the union of two people... just unfortunately i think the government is still just full of a mostly christian dominant population. therefore passing of gay rights laws is increasingly difficult because the majority of the people who actually vote are against it...
