I'm not in the states, but I believe I was in grade 3 at that time, sitting on the carpet, when my teacher got a phone call, and the principal also came to our room(as she did every other room) and they told us that we're going home early and all of us are like 'cool', and the school staff called every child's parent(s) and they were obviously taken home, and then when I got home, I was bored, turned on the TV, and it was already on the news channel about it, and they showed I think a picture of it.
For a week or two, I was really sad, I wasn't directly affected, nor did my parents, relatives and any other family members, but it's just very, very tragic (at least to me), when somebody dies, and if I cry a shit load for just one person, well..what would happen before if I knew it was over 100(hell, over 1,000) people?
