#1602278 Half Price Day Question?
Posted by likerobots
on 02 July 2012 - 12:26 PM
HPD is when the prices in the shops are half off
eg. an item that stocks for 2500np now stocks for 1250.
if your profit was 2500np on that item before, now it's 3750np.
you don't need to change your abrosia settings, it'll still pick up all the items with a 2500np profit, and now that the items in the shops stock for lower, you'll pick up more items since there's a greater profit margin

stock market is super duper easy.
find shares that are15-20np. buy 1000 shares of that stock.
repeat every single day, making sure you diversify a little (on my portfolio, i had about 20k shares of 20 different types of stocks)
when it gets to 60np, sell 3/4 of your stocks. i generally keep at least 2000 shares in case it rises again

Happy Canada Day!
Happy Canada day to all fellow Canadian Codexians,
who spell "colour" with a u,
who pay a few cents extra for gas, groceries, and phone bills,
who have a dollar coin,
who get snow,
who eat poutine and drink Molson,
who live in igloos and hunt deer,
who enjoy universal healthcare
and who celebrate rights for the LGBT community.
awright. I'm getting a little carried away, but happy 145th!
#1591028 Photoshop CS6

a) are still using Corel PSP (o god pls no)
b) are devoted to your version of photoshop
c) are devoted to your version of photoshop because you actually dropped $800 on buying the program
You've probably heard about Photoshop cs6. I just downloaded the portable extended version. I haven't played around with it much, but it looks pretty neat, and as always, it's faster than the old version. If your computer can handle it, I'd suggest you download it.
Here's a neat run through of the new features
http://psd.tutsplus....-photoshop-cs6/
Some interesting ones
- Video editing now compatible
- New darker interface
- New brush features; maximum brush size increased from 2500px to 5000px
- Paragraph & Character styles
- Auto-recovery ♥
- Strokes without layer styles
- Different settings to manage layers
So, what does everyone think about the new cs6?
I don't use video editing so i think it's just bulk added onto the program for me. I'm really glad about auto recovery though, it was a deal-maker for me

Don't be reckless. Many on this site have grown to, not only respect your contributions to the site, but you as a leader/admin.
You said yourself that the retired members only make up a small minority on the site. Don't let them convince you to walk away.
Take a look at the other advanced+ members and non-advanced members; I'm sure they would really rather you stay.Spoiler
Besides, everyone knows that Valentine is a fucking idiot that talks out of that asshole he calls a mouth.
I agree with pikachu here, this is just one member and he's obviously crossing too many boundaries. Definitely about the divorce, that's just immature and i can't see anyone at fault here but him.
What you're going through with the divorce must definitely be rough, and i completely understand if you need to step down or take a break while that's happening, but leaving codex because of a single cunt-mouthed soab? don't let him do that to you.
I'm pretty sure the majority of us would rather see him walked out than you.

#1566890 neopets tracking ip ONLY of logging in/out?
Posted by likerobots
on 24 March 2012 - 05:52 PM
Just to put this to rest, every single server logs all requests, by default. I can't imagine TNT would have gone to the trouble to not log, so yes, every time your computer interacts with neopets.com, your IP address goes into the logs. When you load a page, when you submit a form, when you start a flash game, when you submit a score... everything has your IP attached to it; that's just how a web server works.

That's a short snippet of the logs from the shop worth calculator I posted a couple days ago. It has a timestamp, an IP address, the exact URL requested, the response code, the number of bytes returned by the request, the page from which the request came, and the visiting browser's user agent. Neopets likely uses Apache, but I'm sure the logs are very similar.
zis is all i vanted to know. thanks
