could be possible i dl'd a story and transfered onto my flashdrive then put it on my laptop

So I just ran microsoft security essentials like 3 times and taking 1 hour for each scan...and it found this: Exploit:Win32/Pdfjsc.LV Severe and it didn't remove it on its own? I had to manually get rid of that crap No clue where I even got this from because I just scanned yesterday...and didn't go anywhere except open the program manager today...then came here to find out why I got pwned...I just hope TNT can help me out...I just want the acc back i still have like money on the side that I can use to AB my wealth back...but still T.T

Even if the programs did such a thing the changing of the e-mail is obviously from a hacker. You probably got cookie grabbed somehow.

that is so scary then i never go to shady websites no porn or free movies etc. only way i can see it is i used our school's computer once. Neopets isn't even my main priority now....I'm scared someone might dropped all my college classes or something or drop me out of school since my bank/credit should be fine. Should I call them now to let them know if there's anymore transactions contact me?

fml first time ever being hacked. totally scared now can't even study. and here i thought i found the best website for my neopet's greed. i blame karma T.T

Any chance you left your account logged in on a public computer?

i only use my personal laptop for neopets (besides that once and i logged off) other than that, maybe internet? i only use internet at my house, my friend's and my school. i think i can trust my own internet and my friends but idk about my school's...and i don't think someone broke into my dorm room just to screw my neopets over...i'm more concerned if they jacked my bank info/school stuff

I would recommend NEVER logging into anything you wouldn't want someone else to access when you are not on your personal network. As an engineer, I refuse to trust my work machines even though I have full control over them (and thanks to software such as WireShark, I could easily monitor the network for what everyone else is doing if I desired.) Basically, never do online banking on a public network.

i do that for only my bank account, emails, fb, and work stuff but i didnt think going in a school library's computer would be so dangerous for my neopet account :\ and given the situation now i'm using the dorm interwebs so im mega vulnerable?

i just dont get how it happened i don't do anything on my laptop except my work and a couple of games like LoL hon diablo 2 but no browser games except for neopets.

Do you still have access to the email account you used on that Neopets account?

nope only neocodex, but it's possible something went down b/c i'm on my school internet and we're a tech school...maybe someone wants to screw me over?
