I suspect it means that all their mod staff probably work remotely and there was nobody in the office over the weekend for them to inform about what happened which is why it took until Monday for them to actually do anything. If they had even a single programmer in the office over the weekend they could have easily took everything down to prevent these things taking place...

That's what I was thinking. Even if one moderator was working over the weekend do they not have a supervisor they could have called or even emailed? There wasn't even a reply on facebook until monday. Is it possible literally no one works weekends? 

It is bullshit. They could have pulled the plug at any time over the weekend if they were paying attention. Moderation systems being offline doesn't mean they couldn't do anything about it. The fact that they did nothing until Monday morning is pretty telling.

Worst comes to worst could they not shut down/red pteri the whole site like they did during the lag maintenance? Sounds like they downsized to the point where no one mods the boards (or the whole site?) on the weekend anymore and when they went in on monday they realized. There was no statement even on facebook (which has nothing to do with JS servers) until today even though this started on Saturday night

There goes the most entertaining thing to ever happen with Jumpstart owning Neopets, and it wasn't even intentional LOL.

"Not able to gain access" That honestly sounds like such bullshit.. like how would that even be possible. 

Why does everyone think Neopets is going to die?  This isn't the first time Neopets has slipped up and it won't be the last.  There were much worse events, like Dupe Day.

I don't mean in regards to this event, I just mean in general. I think this slip up proves jumpstart isn't going to do shit for the site, and aren't interested in putting money, staff, or resources into the bettering of the site. Downsizing so much that no one is even moderating the boards on the weekend anymore is a bad sign.

So how long do you guys think Neopets has left?
