#1806384 Duplication Glitch?

Posted by Mizk on 30 September 2014 - 07:47 AM

I can't wait to see what they actually do. I've read reports of accidental duping that happened as early as last Saturday.

  • Are they going to rollback a week? That will make a lot of people upset. A few people I know have gotten rare/random chance avatars like Snowager or Scallywag within the last week. Do they even still have the snapshot from last Saturday?
  • Are they going to rollback a few days? I bet several people figured this dupe out and profitted from it before it became an epidemic. Will those be individually dealt with? What if *they* turned their earnings into "untraceable" nerkmids -> PBs, or what if they pawned them off on innocent players before the dupe was known. Will both parties be iced?
  • Are they not going to rollback at all and just do damage control? They're sure to miss something. And what of the people who duped nerks and turned them into PBs?
  • and my favorite:
  • Are the only doing a rollback to right before NC was being duped? To save their precious, precious profits.
  • And will they even bother to fix this duping "glitch"? Something that would have certainly happened to me if I had bothered enough to play Neopets in its decrepit, post-transition state

#1802692 Do you believe in god?

I have NO idea what its about, and i probably will never know what its about.

But dude, I told you what it's about. I told you exactly what it says, and you... ignored it? I don't know. You tell me.

Pascal's Wager is what you stated earlier: "Wouldn't it make more sense to live as though the God of the Bible does exist?"

The fact that you think its a fairy tale rule to not have premarital sex says a lot about you

I'll choose to ignore this blatant ad hominem and instead counter with a challenge: I dare you to have 0 sex -- no "2nd base", no "3rd base"; only kissing -- until you're married.

If you're not married to that person, the only thing you're allowed to do is kiss them.

It's a very tough challenge, and not one that *anyone* should want to complete. Would you buy a car without test driving it? No? Then why would you say "I want to be with this person forever" (but let's be real here, "forever" means <10 years; until you're divorced) yet have no idea what how well they "drive"?

#1794218 Are Your Parents Still In Love?

Posted by Mizk on 13 August 2014 - 05:44 PM

My parents are sitll together, but they shouldn't be. I've seen them hug probably a handful of times in my life, and they don't seem to especially like each other. My mom probably only married my dad as a prerequisite (religious reasons) to have kids. She didn't have kids until like 33, and I bet she was thinking along the lines of "oh shit, I need kids soon or I will never have any" and she chose the only man interested in her. My dad has been married a few times before, though I don't know the exact number because we don't talk about things like that.

My entire life, they've never slept in the same bed, let alone the same room. My mom currently sleeps on the couch.

Honestly, they're two crazies who aren't fit for anyone else, and so (I guess) have each other. If a love exists between them, it is merely the love that two people acquire for each other, despite their dislike, for having been through the same shit together for 20+ years

New fact: I just read that scientists have found that we are physically addicted to UV light (or actually the beta-endorfine we harvest from it). Long withdrawal from the sun can cause some serious health and mood issues. Is that why the British are always so grumpy? loljk

For this reason, they sell devices that look like ear bud headphones, but they emit light into your "brain"

#1768511 What really grinds YOUR gears?

Posted by Mizk on 12 June 2014 - 07:02 AM

Uhhhh ohhh, someone's been reading some blogs!!!

Or I paid attention in school?

President is not decided by popular vote but electoral college points. He can have most of the votes and still lose. And the state's representatives are not required to vote according to their state's popular vote, meaning if the state voted 100% for prez A, the representatives can still vote for prez B and the representative's votes are the only ones that matter

I very much resent the comment you've made; I despise people who are up in arms at shit because of blogs/tumblr. I don't care that this is how US gov works, I just wanted to point out that the analogy is incorrect (assuming US)

Spoiler

That's like complaining about the government in power and you didn't vote.

>implying voting does anything

That's not exactly how a democratic republic works (assuming you're from US)
