Alright, so I'm doing a 2000 word comparison and contrast essay on 1984 and Fahrenheit 451 and I'm having trouble coming up with possible theses. They have to deal with either theme or character and since English is my weakest subject, I'm coming to codex for some help.

So far I have:
In both novels, interaction with other characters is the main cause of the protagonist's downfall

The protagonists' actions are all motivated by self-awareness.


I just don't think that I'll be able to write 2000 words based on these theses, so what I'm looking for are some suggestions to a possible thesis, or how I can strengthen or reword one of my current theses.
