[Guide]Destruct-O-Match II[out dated]

21 August 2006 - 06:43 PM

Trying for the Destruct-O-Match II avatar? You've came to the right place! I will take you through a step by step guide to getting the spiffeh avatar.
[CLICK.HERE] to start a game.

The Basics

1. The more boulders that are collected together when you destroy them = more points!
Type 'destroyboulders' at [THIS] stage to get an extra 250 points.
2. Don't continue past level 2 if you haven't destroyed ALL of the boulders on both level 1 and level 2.
3. Play the game on size; small (640x480) so it is easier to see everything at once.
4. Start from the top moving down the screen to avoid messing up combinations above.
5. When you start reaching the end of a level, stop and think about what you are doing and which order you will remove the boulders in. The bonus points make A LOT of difference!
6. Score 2500+ for the avatar.
7. Play on 'Normal' mode.
8. After reading this guide you won't get the avatar straight away, it takes practice.
9. You need to get a good game, it isn't just about skill... you need luck. In the later rounds you need the multiplier boulder to get the required points for the avatar. So keep trying!!

Bonus Points

Four boulders remaining 50 points

Three boulders remaining 100 points

Two boulders remaining 150 points

One boulders remaining 200 points

No boulders remaining 250 points

The Boulders

The Fill Boulder; Many people don't like this boulder as it creates a new line of boulders and could mess up your combinations. But this is really a good thing - more boulders = more points! I have 2 suggestions of how to get rid of the fill boulder. 1. Use it at the very beginning before you have decided what you are doing with your boulders. 2. leave it until the VERY end, this boulder only replicates boulders which are on the screen, if this is the last thing you destroy it will give you a row of one colour which can be destroyed leaving you with no boulders.

The Multiplier Boulder; This is by far the best boulder, especially when it gets to the later levels. Whatever combination you get with this boulder is triples the score. Try to gather as many of these blocks together before destroying them. This is very important in the later levels to complete the score needed to move on.

The Overkill Boulder; This boulder is also very good, it helps make things become more organised. The best way to use this is to get rid of all of those coloured boulders then use it. For example, if the overkill boulder is blue, destroy all of the blue combinations and then the blue overkill. If you use it straight away you lose the points which were available from those boulders.

Fire Boulder; This is very useful for getting rid of the stragglers. Leave this until the very last block. It destroys the surrounding 8 boulders. It's great to get the bonus points at the end of the level!

Timed Boulder; This is the worst boulder, make sure you get rid of it straight away, if you don't destroy it within those 15 seconds it turns into an [X] along with any same coloured boulders which it is joined to. An [X] block can only be destroyed by a fire boulder so it is best just to get rid of it at the very beginning!

The Points

These are the average points which you should have before continuing to the next level.

LEVEL 1: 400 points + 150 points from the 'destroyboulders' trick.
LEVEL 2: 650 previous points + 400 points in this level
LEVEL 3: 1050 previous points + 350 points in this level
LEVEL 4: 1450 previous points + 300 points in this level
LEVEL 5: 1750 previous points + 250 points in this level
LEVEL 6: 2000 previous points + 200 points in this level
LEVEL 7: 2200 previous points + 200 points in this level
LEVEL 8: 2400 previous points + 100 points in this level

Remember there are two more levels to gain points on, just make sure you are around these point boundaries. It is difficult to pick up points in later levels.

Moving on to the next level...

You need to get a minimum of these points on each level before you can continue to the next level.

Hey, i'm completely new to this site. I've been trying to sign up for a while but they weren't accepting new members crybaby.gif. But, yay, i've finally got online.
Trying to work out the site, shouldn't take to long. I have some guides etc to add so will do that when possible.
