In Topic: What made you turn to cheating in NP?

Hello (and long time no see to many of the admins who still remember me!)

I was a script kiddy that happened to enjoy playing Neopets. Played since the very beginning for about 4 years.
I won the Neopian Lottery, around 4.6 mill.
Around 3 months later, my account got iced unexpectedly, which still to this day they haven't given me a valid reason as to why…

After deep-diving into finding the CEO’s email address, I emailed him my situation. He replied stating there was nothing he could do, and I could always create a new account and start again.

Fuming at the response, I emailed back saying “Let the games begin!” and I did exactly that, with ‘multiple’ new accounts, all similar usernames.

I used Visual Basic & .NET as my partner in crime to create multiple auto’ers, bots, etc to play all the games simultaneously and put my new accounts Rank 1-10 on all high score boards on Neopets.

I then emailed the CEO again and told him to lookout for me and I provided my usernames so he can see what I had created.

The accounts got iced. He emailed me back saying that I was being unprofessional. I responded by saying not dealing with my legit account that was iced for no reason was unprofessional.

I never received another email from him again. But I continued to plague his business for many years after.

I then came across 3volutions where I met Frosty, Elz, BarCode and many others. BarCode at that time was doing very similar auto’ers and posting them to 3volutions for regular users to cheat their way through Neo-life. So I did the same. I provided some of my own, shared knowledge with BarCode and then…..3volutions was hacked! (Debatable as some say it was Elz, where as Elz and others say that Elz account and gmail got hacked)

That was kinda the end game for 3volutions, and the site never really recovered. So I looked elsewhere for a group that did similar, but although I found Neocodex, I never really felt at home here. So I’ve never stayed active. But I do drop in every so many years to see if people are still around :)

It’s kinda strange though, I have to create a new account every time I return with the exact same username - as if the database has had a clean out. Ahhwell.

Much love,

Sincro
