She doesn't want them to run as root/admin...she wants users to have limited access.

anyways, it's simply to create users on the fly in unix. You'd have to spend time making a group and configuring the group access the way you want. Then, you'd simply have to add users to that group everytime they wanted to play a game.

You can find drivers if you really want to...just pick popular games that do work ok on unix.

I knew she didn't want them to run as root. I wwas wondeering why she was even asking.

WoW and CSS/CS 1.6 run fine on Linux - and those are the only games that people actually use, right?, as for the driver support, I find it good - my machine has pretty recently released parts and I didn't even have to download any drivers or recompile the kernel.

Freshmeat has some opensource internet cafe software(see: http://freshmeat.net...a...x=0&Go.y=0).

What do you mean by your third question? Why would you need to run them as root/admin?

The religious hypoththesis is just like any scientific hypothesis - a theory, one that I do not choose to believe, mainly for moral reasons.

What was the point of that? To start, it was a joke, so calm down and don't just go name calling - that's really immature. Second, Linux is an open source system that does not have a lot of compatible virus protection and firewall material, which makes hacking into it a hell of a lot easier.

What the hell? There are hundreds of Linux-compatible firewalls(eh; pf, ipf, ip). As for the anti-virus software it's pretty useless really as there are no widespread worms/virii for Linux that I know of.
