My cousin got her game (bundled with the AC 3DS) on Monday so we've been playing together since then.

Stuff that happened in the past few days:

• planted a shitton of trees
• finished the cobblestone bridge
• paid off my 98k loan
• found Gulliver washed up on the beach and got a sitar
• gardening store opened
• bought a candy door and candy mailbox
• bought new wallpaper and carpet from Saharah
• joined club Tortimer
• got bananas! I only need persimmons now.

Happy Fathers' Day! I had dinner with my dad but other than that... nothing eventful.

I checked out the clothing store and bought some jeans and a bow. I caught a few new fish today, including a whale shark and a sunfish. I planted a bunch of tropical fruit trees from fruits I gathered in the island tours. I was also given some apples and a watering can from the dog who works in the mayor building (forgot her name already). Since I got my approval rating to 100% yesterday, I was able to start construction for a second bridge as well. 80k/128k paid off for that as of now. I will be putting off my house payment until the bridge is complete.

Yesterday the store only had a shovel and a fishing rod again. There was a notice on the bulletin board that there would be a bug competition so I was nervous that I wouldn't have a net. Luckily, a net was in the store today! I won first place. I was also able to visit the island today, but I didn't do much there other than grab some bugs, coconuts, and durians. I managed to snag two balloon presents (whack 'em with the net when they go down the cliff), which gave me a balloon bed and a balloon tv. Finally, at the end of the day, I caught a shark.

Second day playing New Leaf! I already have my second house payment done, but the third of 98k bells will take a few days. So far the shop has only sold shovels and fishing poles so all I've been doing is fishing. I can't seem to catch a damn shark, though. Came across 4 of them and they all got away.
