Okay so I had to just create a thread out of nowhere ranting about these fuckers. Some retarded burglar just broke into my house and stole my wallet containing 600 bucks, my country's identification card, driving license, bank cards, student cards, etc. Now I have to apply/register for new copies and it sucks having to wait in line etc. Posted ImageDamn these fucking burglars! Can't they take the valuables and leave the important cards with me? :((

On an added note, the burglar also stole an iPod Touch I was planning to give my little brother for his birthday. :((

So who hates them? Please rant! Posted Image

I've only ever been burgled once, aside from a PS2 (this was back in the day) all they got were empty boxes for things like digital cameras so I think they would have been disappointed. :p

I've never gotten burglarized before. My neighbour right down the street have though, and now the whole road (It's a dead end) banded up to pay for a security guard at night.

The worse I think, wasn't the whole loss of items thing - it was the burglar being a total nutcase. He literally took a dump in the middle of their living room and the woman ended up having to clean it up AFTER being burglarized. Now that was an asshole if I ever heard of one.

LOL! Now that's an asshole. Taking a dump right after stealing stuff. He probably hates your neighbour for hiding all the valuables so damn well.

    What, seriously?

The burglar either had all night to rob the house, or he really really had to take a dump. Sucks if it happened to me, but sorry, I laughed. So hard >_>.

Though what would have really been epic is if he had used the toilet and then flushed. Self-pwn alarm ftl

How embarrassing would it be if your neighbour caught the burglar in the process of defecating. XD

It seems like burglary is kinda common in Malaysia, my friend had several cases before though nothing was stolen coz the burglars fled as soon as they heard the alarm.

Yep! Apparently we do get a lot of burglaries in my area. Well, I'm talking about the area I'm currently living in, which mostly consist of students studying at my university. The guards started patrolling more often ever since multiple cases were reported in the surrounding area. That didn't stop the burglar from breaking in recently though. :(

Well hopefully the guards nab the guy before someone gets hurt possibly. Are you thinking about getting more security?

My neighborhood is usually pretty good, though it might be because about 5 of the 7 houses on my street have either dogs/visible weaponry.......

Was burgled once, had two laptops stolen and accessories as well >.< Along with a kitchen knife o.o??
That really sucks dude, I'm real sorry. What's even worse is the loss of sense of security.

    I hope you're doing ok.

"Shotgun and ammunition on premises 3 nights a week, you guess which ones"

There are some people who argue that this makes you more of a target. Sorta like painting STEAL MY GUNS on your front door.

I dunno, I wouldn't take my chances either way.

I used to live with my cousin and her exgirlfriend in a two bedroom apartment. My cousin and ex broke up on reeeally bad terms and my cousin made my ex move out. Well her ex came by while we were both gone and took all of her stuff, all of our kitchen stuff, and a lot of my cousin's stuff that my cousin bought before they even got together. The cops couldn't do anything about it because apparently since they were in a relationship that made all of their stuff "community property." So we waited like 2 months and found out from her sister when she was going out and broke into her new apartment while she was gone and we took all of my cousin's stuff back. So I can't really throw stones when I live in a glass house.

How do most of these burglaries happen? Break through a weak door or window of some sort? I got 2 doors in the front and all the windows have like jail-cell like sticks on them, so luckily no robbings yet. But it has always been a childhood fear of a burglar breaking in.

Think it was on purpose though, because for a while then there was a short news spotlight on serial robbers doing the same. To quote...- "For added courage they must have gone in with laxatives." :X

In my case the burglar probably picked the door lock as the windows were not damaged and the door was open when I woke up. :o

It's been almost twelve-ish...or more? years ago when we got robbed. It was a pretty bad neighborhood and people in the neighborhood constantly had complaints of getting robbed as well.
(Everytime my mom tells that story she blames the ghetto-looking mexicans that lived nearby that old shack, LOL).

Personally I've gotten my ancient mountain bike, and a road bike that's worth about $2000 stolen at the university, even with their u-locks (cable locks can get owned with a good pair of scissors). Since then either I put my bike inside my car and just walk to my lectures, or I park it at the back of the lecture hall if I'm about to be late.

My parents' house was burgled when I was very little, so I don't remember anything about it. Apparently I was excited to see the police and kept asking if they wanted anything to drink.

Wow! What an adorable kid you were.

    I've never liked the police. Maybe that's cause I'm a criminal-in-the-making. ;)

My garage was actually broken into about a year back. I was so pissed because they stole my bike but when I calmed down, I realized they were pretty dumb. Of all the things to take, only a bike? I felt even more insulted since there was no finesse involved into the breaking in of my garage. They just brute forced the door down...
