Boo. Blankets are boring. Get her something exciting... Venus Fly Trap? Comic books? You'd be surprised how nerdy 'normal' girls are. I met a couple cheer leaders who were in love with Star Wars. Just find their inner nerd and you're in. Plus, I don't know why you're going for normal girls in the first place. They're normally vapid and ignorant which makes for boring conversation.

Star Wars? Nerdy? This isn't the 80's, Star Wars has been pretty Mainstream since the release of Episode 1.

And I was in High school and wanted a relationship, and since not a whole lot of girls talk to the awkward looking anime geek that blurts out random Japanese while having a jolly old time with his friends, it was all or nothing with the friend from my earlier childhood.

Nowadays I just say "Fuck that" and use my time amount of free time for my own stuff.

Ohhh boy not in the town I live in, there are so little amounts here that the annual "convention" is ran by like 4 people, and all they do is set a room for people to come in and converse for a bit while watching the anime with all the badly dubbed voices because "lol subtitles are hard to read".

After seeing this among other embarrassing videos, I'll pass on moving down into the states.

And it's not that much greater in Alberta.

"Hey, how can any of these nerds get your numbers?"

"Smack my ass and call me sexy."

Either that, or wanting to date a producer?

    Sluts, all of them.

Being shallow and relying on looks first isn't a smart path to follow, you'll mostly likely end up lonely because trying to find a very attractive female who also has incredibly obscure interests (Star Wars and other western and "nerdy" interests need not apply) stacks the odds incredibly against you.

It just isn't going to happen.

Really, I don't care if the girl has a couple "extra" features included in her package, as long as she has a true passion for her interests instead of thinking "Lol I watch Big Bang Theory I AM SUCH A NERD LOL XD".

You don't really need to have the same interests to be in love with someone, how much do I have in common with a 25 year old Japanese woman? Not much... We share a love of alcohol and movies, and thats about it. I don't knit, I don't know kendo, and I don't share her otaku love of Winnie the Pooh.... But we appreciate each others differences.

I was more or less saying that if I was to date a geek, that they'd at least be a geek instead of thinking they're a geek because they've played a video game or watched Star Wars once or twice.

I wasn't really saying she has to love only what I do or it's a no-go.

I getcha... The term "Gleeks" in America has kids hopping on the train. WHY FOX?? WHY??? Oh, well... Because, FOX.

Also, I showed my gf that youtube link and she thought that it was creepy... But at least two guys at her work play as well, so maybe its not so strange. Humans set the trend for whats "normal" anyways.

Fucking Glee, they ruined Rocky Horror for me.

Though, most normal Japanese people find a lot of the games like Love Plus creepy anyways.

    They ruined society for me.

Anyways, its not a far stretch to see myself enjoying a game like this. But I'd much rather play Pokemon, which is kind of strange to people, but also doesn't reveal any sexual deviancy... So its a bit easier to explain.

People still think Pokemon is strange? It's been around for long enough that it should be socially acceptable by now, other than people thinking other people are manchildren for playing a children's game when they're much older.

Thats exactly what it is... But I could care less about being a man-child. Its a formula that works. I won't go out and buy a million figurines, but I dunno if I'll ever stop playing it completely.

Black and White have seriously fixed a flaw that has plagued the Pokémon series since...well, forever. Until after you beat the Elite Four, you will only see the Pokémon from that generation.

And that means no fucking Zubats and Geodudes in caves. Fuck yeah.

First time through: No. Helps keep things a surprise ;)
Second and up: Hells yes. Gotta catch 'em all as soon as possible and have as many items at my disposal as possible.

Well I think the most important thing about keeping a player locked in to the newest generation of pokemon is that it helps recapture the wonder of playing the originals. You're forced to learn about new pokemon and use them to your advantage instead of shifting to a couple of old standbys that you know are good from previous knowledge.
