Cannabis contains more than just the active chemical 9,-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). There are also varying levels of CBN and CBL. Varying amounts of the latter two compounds will change the nature of the high. You can look at indica vs. sativa strains (body high vs. cerebral high) and you will find differing levels of CBN and CBL to be responsible for this.

When you vaporize cannabis, you are creating a temperature that is just hot enough to vaporize the THC without burning the plant material. So by vaporizing, you are getting (for the most part) only THC inhaled.

That's the basic reason for the difference in the two highs.

I have frequented a drug related forum for a number of years and there have been several members over the years whose homes have been broken into by law enforcement and they found drugs and arrested them. The DEA does use the internet as a resource for finding absent minded criminals...
