I really don't like the colors of the Moehog 8-bit clothes. They look dirty for me.

Are they putting ANY effort into these whatsoever?! I want to like them, but I can't ;---;

When I first saw that 8 bit moehog that steel posted, I started drooling and thought roasted pig... Mmmmm.
But the green pants looks like he has a nasty fungi infection...

I want to like them too. Maybe it's because they seem to give the simple pixels shadedness and depth... I dunno.

If the 8-bits were created like the earlier Mario and Bowser art, maybe they'd get more appeal

See, I'd be fine with them giving the pixels shading and stuff, but they're doing it wrong. Look at that Moehog - there's shading around its ass but everything else is pretty much flat. It's self-contradicting.

I totally see what you mean. But I think that no shading would actually make it look better. I actually looked in the rainbow pool to compare 8 bits and found that they they did a pretty good job (maybe it looks better a bit more expanded) with the shading. If it were up to me, I'd just change the colors. 8 bit isn't only about pixels. It's also about the lack of neon colors of the millenium and with more ancient reds, greens, and blues pixels that we continue to love to day.

I love the Moehog. I think it's much better than the Kougie anyway.

I think I like the moehog better than the kougra, but the tail and the tusk are kinda funky. Also, I agree that the hair is too tall and looks like a hat or something.

It's a really good idea, but I feel like there is something missing in the execution...
hopefully they'll improve with more releases.

Personally I found the earlier camo pets to be ridiculously ugly. Their newer releases are really nice though, IMO. Camo krawk is a favorite of mine.

the idea is wonderful and appealing since it's a departure from that ridiculous uniform customization bullshit, but does anyone else think that the designs could have been much better forwards facing instead of a profile view?

Honestly, I find the 8-bit colours quite ugly.
(I know I'm in the minority when I'm saying this xD)

Ok, so the new grundo is actually pretty good. At the very least, it gives me hope that some of the future ones could be pretty kick-ass.

They also released some 8-bit items and backgrounds, so you can have a full 8-bit customization.
