... At least at one point in our lives :p we've all been selfish and judgmental. My question to you is:

What is the worst thing you've ever done to someone in your life?

I have a lot. A few really stick out and I've since learned from them. They remind me constantly to not be such a jackass. They certainly aren't things I'm proud of, but they're monumental pivoting points in my life.

-As a teenager I absolutely hated my mother with an undying passion. I'm not sure if anyone remembers but I'm pretty sure I told the story on here before that my mother was very mentally and physically abusive during my childhood (physically only to my three older sibling. I was the baby so I was spared being punched in the face) So one year, I think I was sixteen, I decided I wasn't going to wish my mother "happy mother's day" despite the fact that by that point she was much better with controlling her temper than before. She got home, no one had left her anything, none of my siblings called to talk to her and I purposefully didn't wish her a "happy mother's day". I was so so proud of myself for finally taking a stand, I sat on the couch feeling almost accomplished. Once she realized all four of her children completely abandoned her, the only word I can use is "devastated". Absolutely devastated. She came into the living room, looked at me and just began weeping uncontrollably. I was so goddamn stubborn and filled with angsty pride I walked right past her and into my bedroom. It took me a while to realize what an awful thing I'd done and how cruel I'd been. My mom had improved and she was working on her anger problems and I was all too glad to throw it in her face. It wasn't right and I regret it so much.

I'll keep it to just this one for now. I'm tying this on my iPhone. So sorry if this is loaded with grammatical inaccuracies. Feel free to post your own experiences or if you'd like just general examples :)

EDIT: Not only did this thing have numerous typos, I mixed up my damn holidays haha. Note to self: Never type paragraphs on your iphone again. Also, edited for clarity.

If their posts were to be believed, I drove someone to suicide.
I'm still not sure it was a bad thing though.

Other than that, I don't think I've ever done anything bad -to- someone. I've done more'n my fair share of bad/stupid things, but they've all been fairly victimless as far as I know.

I've never really done anything terrible to anyone, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be willing to. I have never needed to act terribly to someone as of now, but the things that go through my head of what I want to do some people is probably bordering on psychoticism.

That's a good question! Thinking about it, I don't think I've ever done something super horrible to anyone! Maybe I have and just didn't/haven't realised it though... >w>
Heheh, back when I was in pre-school/Kindergarten, they really forced the whole "treat people how you would like to be treated" thing on us, and it's kinda stuck with me ever since~ :p

(Well there's also a thing that happened back a few years ago between a dude and I that put a stop to our super close friendship, and apparently I caused all of it to happen....?? But I can't really remember what happened (and the dude hasn't gotten over it yet, three years later), so eh, idk if that counts or not x3 )

I got a substitute teacher fired in 5th grade by lying and saying she hit me... does that count?

Actually, I'm kinda glad she got fired because she was a terrible teacher; the kind that is causing America to slip behind in the world-scale of education. I do feel guilty about it though because I can't stand seeing other people hurt mentally from something I did.

In High School i sold some straight edge girl her first ecstasy pills...

3 years later i seen her and she had lost like 30 pounds, was smoking meth, and had turned to prostitution.

I don't blame myself for her actions, just as i dont blame anyone for the decisions i've made.

But sometimes i wonder if i was the catalyst that released her inner demons and gave them a chance to materialize.

I have this problem with insulting everyone. I guess I have a huge ego in real life or something.

Most recent I can remember is "Oh ____ you got a haircut! It looks bad." I got a haircut on that day too... lol

I am way nicer online for some reason; it is the opposite for some people though.

Edit because I say 'lol' way too much. lol

I tend to hurt people very deeply any time that they hurt me.

Its something I always regret doing afterwords, but I don't really care when it happens, I just want them to feel how I feel.

I understand where you're coming from, but I'm a little different. I'm scared to open up with people in life, so when someone starts getting close to me I retaliate. I want them to not want to be around me. I ignore them when they come over, I'm cynical and just downright unpleasant. I'm really really afraid of being hurt and I'm very sensitive to rejection. There are only two people who I feel completely comfortable around (my fiancee, Zach, and my best friend, Troy). I've done this to both of them, and for some unfathomable reason they stuck through it and it's actually made my appreciation for them even greater.

The difference is you retaliate after someone hurts you, I do it before I think I will be XD

    My good friend, mentioned above, has gone through something similar, except it was his best friend and his friend ended up dying. This happened a long time ago and he still can't cope with it. I never know how to make him feel better when we talk about it. It's a really hard pill to swallow. When you're a teenager you feel invisible and most teens come out unscathed from that mentality. It's sad to see someone punished so much for being human ;-;

Is destroying someone's livelihood on a whim a bad thing to do?
Yes, it is. You're a bastard.

Considering your school might be required to say that this teacher supposedly hit you if that person ever needed job references.. Chances are you did way more damage to that person's career/life than you could even imagine :/ I had to point that out to you, it doesn't seem as though you understood how serious that was. It's much more than, "Yay I got her fired, but she sucked anyway so it doesn't matter."

The worst thing I've done is not pay attention to my best friend. I was so wrapped up in my own issues that I didn't notice him spiraling. He killed himself about an hour or so after I last spoke to him. I could have stopped that from happening if I was paying attention to him instead of my own stupidity.

I haven't had the heart to intentionally cause anyone pain for no reason. I've said and done things in anger, but I haven't done anything the anyone that I've regretted (for a long time afterwards anyway).

Not to mention that they are most likely branded as a violent criminal because they have an assault and battery charge on their record. Pretty much doomed them to a mediocre life doing something that they hate.

That sounds like Pierce in Community.

He said something like, I always expect people to leave me sooner or later. So I push people, test them. Until I'm proven right

For some reason I found that line extremely profound.
