I had actually predicted that the taxing clause would be used to justify the decision, but I'm shocked that Roberts went so far as to write the opinion.

I'll say this:
I'm happy not with the regular "you must have insurance" thing (which seems to be what many people were angry about ) but because the law says an insurance provider can't charge me more than a guy just because I'm female (that and the fact they can't cap your health care, since women tend to live longer and thus use more health care).
And now I can stay on my parents plan for a while after I turn 18 (I think it's 25-26)
The tanning tax is a good thing, tanning can give you cancer.

Our child was under glass for more than a week. My beloved was discharged less than 24 hours, 24 hours is Customary now, so you bet thats about all insurance will want to pay. She was torn, bleeding, and luckily I'm able to restitch and do some pretty good wound care. Hundreds of women die from bleeding because they're discharged so quickly.I disagree. Women should have to pay more for health insurance because statistically we live longer, get sick more often than men and pop out babies - the majority of which are born in expensive hospitals. And since American women are allergic to pain and long labors we require additional expensive and (for the most part) unnecessary things like epidurals, pitocin, and in many instances C-sections. Then we lay around on our asses for 2-3 days (or as long as the insurance will pay for) before finally letting them discharge us and going home. I know not everyone is this way (I wasn't) but it is a definite trend. The premium that females pay shouldn't be a huge difference from that of the men but I would not be at all offended to have to pay an extra $5 a month or so.

Most Doctors do what the insurance company wants them to do. A few young ones try to buck the system, but usually the buckers end up on the wrong end of the fruckers a few too many times and eventually go with the flow.If a woman is torn and bleeding but is discharged anyway then the doctor is to blame. So many doctors are there only for the delivery - the nurses are expected to do everything else and the doctor signs off on it. For routine deliveries/recoveries 24 hours may be the norm but if a woman has a problem then it should not be considered as or treated as routine.

You're right we do use more heath care and should pay more in premiums,
Ya, if you want to be tan, do the right way and be born an NDN!

Forget about breast cancer?Do we??.....men have prostate's and testicles both of which are prone to cancer.
Women also have long-term illnesses...Men also have long term illness while a women may pop out a baby but she is up and running in a day or two.

Sorry, I can not say it was a pretty sight, but how could I have hesitation with a woman I have pledged my life, my heart, my honor. She only had one major stitch, but was in no shape to take care of her own wounds.Umm did not have a choice of what I would look like when I was conceived.

That is terrible! Also, this has left a visual in my head that will ensure I never have children! OUCH!

D)You don't just "pop out a baby". First. It takes 9 months, and the insurance pays for the ultra sound and every time you go in for a checkup to make sure the baby is fine. They also pay for the morphine and the delivery, and for the stay in the hospital, not to mention if the baby has conditions upon birth and needs surgery or something (My baby brother had to have a tube in his lung because it was filled with water) or if they need a c-section. Not to mention the vaccinations and such that a child needs as it grows up. Children are expensive as fuck.

E)You also are capable of catching all diseases as men are (I have never heard of any rare disease that only catches men, but maybe i'm wrong)

Every child has a father. The burden of childcare shouldn't be placed exclusively on the mother, whether through increased insurance premiums or otherwise.

Autism (mainly). Duchenne Muscular dystrophy (exclusive) testicular cancers,

Other than the bit about the children's vaccinations and stuff (which would be on the children's health insurance, not the woman's) iargue pretty much said all of what I wanted to say in response to this.

The procedures are being performed on the mother. How could the baby having a father help it cost less money?
Posted 28 June 2012 - 12:18 PM
Do you mean to say only infectious disease? A disease is any abnormal condition that affects an organism, otherwise the phrase genetic disease would be nonsense.Much as it pains me to side with iargue, none of those are diseases.
