Carrier Pigeon? Shows some thought, gives them a token of your appreciation, along with a pet if you don't train it to fly back...

This made me lol.

Not good since we are taking about a poet's alcoholic father on his deathbed in class right now.

Amazingly, that does not narrow it down as much as you might think. Sharron Olds, Whitman, Poe?

I've done it twice. It worked out well the first time because the guy was a marine and he was only in town for 3 months so once he left it was clear everything was done. But this current time, it's pretty bad. I guess it's because we used to be in a relationship for a little over a year. I broke up with him but we still have sex because the sex is amazing. But then one of us ends up doing something to piss the other off, one of us breaks it off, then we don't talk for a week or 2, then we're back at it later. It's a hot mess.

Sounds like you're in a shitty relationship without any of the perks an actual relationship can bring (excluding the sex, of course).

We go out on dates, he buys me shit, he even still goes to see my parents and me and his mom are like bff. Idk I've dated other guys but I guess I just like him better, even though he pisses me off sometimes.

So, my beloved has pulled a shotgun on me. The opposite of love isn't hate. Hate and Love are so close together. Hate is when someone you love fails you, does not reach that place you want them to be. The opposite of love is indifference.

I did for a short while. We were far too different to commit to a relationship, but it worked out fine.

I thought you were 'saving yourself until marriage'?

I thought you were 'saving yourself until marriage'?

A gentleman should not ask such a question. One must assume that there are varying degrees of giving and talking that do not cross the line of what is considered saving.

I must say I was entirely an old foggy when I watched on the TV what you kids considered acceptable action yet still considered yourselves saved. Why in my day,,, Ok, I heard that some people did, but I never.

Do not go gentle into that good night by Dylan Thomas (:

Good poem, I should have thought of that one. While Thomas is no Wendell Berry he's still a pretty good read.

I seriously doubt that was what Shwag was trying to convey.

Would you rather he say "pee-pee" and "hoo-hoo"?

I had just never seen the "pee-pee" and the "hoo-hoo" referred to like he had. I +'d his post because I thought it was very well thought out and pertained to the topic at hand.

The yargis is that thing that is just shy of a foot long, and a yakingis is infinitely deep.

Martini glass and swizzle stick?

I like those too.

I don't think I'd be good at being just friends with benefits.
If someone's my good friend it's because I like them hell of a lot and they make me laugh. If I was attracted to them too, I think I'd rather just date them. Also I'm a really emotional person and I think I'd get tied up in knots trying to keep it just FWB.

I respect people who wait until marriage because I could never do that. I'd be so pissed if I dated someone for years and then married them only to find out they're not into nipple clamps as much as I am. The horror.

My gf knows I play, but she has no idea what it is, so I really have no worries there, unless she gets the urge to learn about it.
