Piercings terrify me. When I see someone with piercings, all I can think of is the amount of pain they must have felt. My ears are pierced, which my parents got done when I was a baby, and I wouldn't pierce anything else. I'm familiar with nose piercings because of my background, but I have never heard of these new piercings in my life. People are piercing places I'd never have imagined anyone wanting to pierce. Google Images really didn't do me any favours.
At least that how I see the bright smile behind your words, the whole nose piercing sort of threw me off.
I did leave, then I came back. I don't know how I could pass up piercing and tatts, sunburst scars and bleached belly buttons.I thought you said you were leaving.

I just meant I knew that people pierced their noses

When I was younger I had my nose and tongue pierced. Now, I just have my ears (two in each), and my tragus pierced. I'm a bit over the hill for it, now. But I still like my tragus piercing.
BTW for those saying how painful it must be - it really isn't. I had two different types of anaesthetic when I had my tragus done. DIdn't feel a thing!

I still have my tragus, no anaesthetic or freezing spray required when it was done.
Only piercing I've had that really hurt was my industrial.
Could not do that again.
The question I would ask for my young friend, with the almost perfect nose, is why did you put several holes into you ear, what was your motivation. The only marks I ever placed upon my body were either religious, or done in a time of protracted mourning. At a time I welcomed the pain of the flesh, just in a futile attempt to distract from the real pain.
Also, I'm pretty sure Kiwi en francais would be le kiwi or even l'œuf vert aigre.
Also, why is a Tea Rose in Alabama?

I have this thing with piercings - whenever I see them or think about them, I almost feel the pain of the needle going through me at that point in my body and it's just weird and uncomfortable. It's a lot gotten better, of course. Before, people could talk about piercings around me and I'd get really disgusted (not on purpose of course) and have to leave. Although, it tends not to be so bad for the cartilage piercings. Everything else is too painful sounding for me to even think about.
I've gotten my ears pierced one though. They got infected and shut though. Personally, the only ones beside the ears I'd do would be a belly button, but I'm still too fat for that.
Personally, I'm one of those people that like to keep their body clean for the most part, and without stuff like tattoos and stuff. Although I believe that's a personal choice, and not a matter of "the body is a temple/sacred." or however some people say it. To me, it's like a vessel of course, if you'd like to keep it clean and sleek so be it, if you'd like to dazzle it up, go for it. I just think I would look better without all that stuff, I guess.

My mom pierced my ears when I was a baby. She used ice and a clean sewing needle
I got my left nostril and right ear cartilage (helix/rim?) pierced in Feb. for my birthday. I went to a professional piercing/tattoo parlor that uses needles. The nose was a slight pinch and is already healed. But the cartilage... holy... It hurt to be pierced, it hurt just being there xD I couldn't sleep on that side of my face for 2 months. It still hurts a little if I poke it, and will probably hurt slightly for the next 1-2 years. Cartilage piercings take 6 months-1 year+ to heal
My mom doesn't like the hoop in my cartilage, she would've preferred a stud (which my sis got). And both my parents think I'm crazy for letting someone shove a needle through my nose.
Got a second set of lobe (horizontal lobe?) piercings (with studs) done in May. I hate wearing stud earrings in my regular lobe piercings, so these are so I can always have earrings on. I have short boyish hair, so I need to balance the look

yay a piercingsthread! i have my ears pierced, three rings in one, one big thing in the other and like on the side. (oh shit, i really shouldn't post about something i have no idea about the words... derp)

and bone: i originally started with the piercings, because i couldn't wear any other jewlery. i always lost everything. piercings are IN you and don't fall off as easily as a ring or so. other than that... i really think it looks good.

My tain mark is hardly visible, I suppose you could say that was for sex, as my first beloved one wished for me to carry the mark of her extended family. After she was dead, the scarring wasn't that traditional of a practice, it was just a crazy boy feeling that food had turned to ash, and water quenched no more. I lost faith, hope, everything. So, I drove to West Virginia, left my car, walked, hunted, talked to bears, got almost to Florida.

I have several ear piercings and my navel (which after two kids is really out of stubbornness that I won't take it out).
This is pretty much why my bellybutton is still pierced. I used to have 4 in each ear and an industrial, but I let all those close up except a normal one in each ear. If I get anything else at all pierced, I want a daith.
I don't think I could date a guy with a genital piercing, I hear they tend to rip through condoms. But guys with tongue piercings are sexy as hell.
I never had the ripping through condom problem, but I refuse to give head to people with personal piercings like that. I don't want to screw up my teeth.

However, in my humble opinion I think punkrockbigmouth has the worse complaint, as that was personal grief and only a diseased intestinal tapeworm could sink that low.
