Hey I'm a Kinesiology major and this summer I'm looking to just lose some of my body fat percentage and increase my cardio capacity (never ran more than a mile in a my life). Next semester I actually have to take an intermediate swimming course and if there's any cute girls in the class I kind of want to have an edge on the competition.

Cool! I worked with a girl that was a kinesiologist. She had so much knowledge about the human body, and was an awesome athlete!
I just hula hooped for 30 minutes while watching TV. Now Joe is hooping during the next episode. I'll hoop again after this one.

Ive downloaded MyFitnessPal to record everything I eat; i found it helped me, because its fun to scan the barcodes xD (check it out, its a VERY helpful app, tho not for everyone).
To further help myself I do groceries once a week for the entire week and dont go the store when i have random cravings. I also allow myself one sinning day, though ill ban that after perhaps a month. But just to ensure i dont go crazy yet xD
That's a good start! I love MyFitnessPal (though I always forget to log my food in it). I find if I'm craving something sweet, go for a sweet fruit like strawberries or oranges, usually that helps.
I think cheat meals are crucial, it what keeps you sane and breaks up the monotony of eating all the healthy food. Try once a week for a month, then every other week, and then work your way to once or twice a month if that.

I haven't been posting much because I've also been slacking a little.
I've been having a harder time resisting junk food now that my boyfriend is done with his classes and we've been hanging out more. I've been spending more time at his house because the air conditioner in my room is broken and it's getting hot, and because my sister is home and I can only tolerate her in moderation. That means I either have to eat the crap at Matt's house or get fast food/takeout more often than I'd like to. I also tend to work out less when we spend a lot of time together because all he wants to do is get high and sit in front of the computer all day.
We have made an effort to start doing more outdoorsy stuff, though, and I push myself extra hard to eat well and exercise whenever I am at home. I still want to get a bike, but there are so many things I want right now and I still don't have a job.

I hear more and more people saying hoola hooping is really great. I might give it a go this week.
For those interested, I now vary between zumba (because no matter how stupid it looks, its incredibly fun to dance like that when no one's watching ~(
)~ ), kick boxing and "regular" excersizes i used to do in my volleybal trainings (stretching, running, crunches, push ups, cycling, dry cycling (no idea what you'd call it in english, but its basically lying on your back, moving legs like you'd do on a bicycle and crunching to the opposite side (so left leg, right crunch))
That's a good start! I love MyFitnessPal (though I always forget to log my food in it). I find if I'm craving something sweet, go for a sweet fruit like strawberries or oranges, usually that helps.

Yeah, ive been doing that too. My father-in-law is a farmer, so we get homegrown strawberries, cucumbers and other stuff from his land. Its really a great advantage
Same principle goes for every food product, ive read.
A friend of mine who's a personal coach (unfortunately not mine, lol
im too poor for that kind of stuff) sent me an article about it. Id post the link here, but its in Dutch.
Basically, it describes three kinds of hunger (though ive read in other articles about at least 7 kinds of hunger; this one with three is just a lot more manageable to my liking):
- Actual hunger:
Growling stomach, actually being really hungry because you havent eaten in a while. Do not ignore it, and do not try to still it with snacks. Eat actual food that will fill you up. - Specific hunger:
Like craving candy or crisps. Same principle as you mentioned above, Rocket. Substitute it with something healthy (fruit for sweet, crackers and/or meaty products for crisps (i've found smoked salmon on crackers a nice substitute! Just dont eat it in a quantity you would a bag of crisps lol)). Best not to ignore this hunger because it's your body's way of saying you're lacking a certain something (like sugar or salt in the above examples). - Restlessness hunger
I think everybody knows this hunger all too well; youre not actually hungry, you just wanna eat D: Try not to give in to it, you dont need it. You're body is trying to keep your mind occupied (or so they say). Try distracting yourself with, say, excersize, work/school or gaming. I find films/series dont help me much, they make me even hungrier. Try something active for your brain. But its human, so again, like you said, cheating every now and then is okay to keep you sane.

Yesterday, I pretty much ate nachos for every meal. At dinner, I came to my senses and ditched the chips and just ate the dips part. My 'workout' was rock raking a 100 sq foot in the garden. (It's been the workout all week yay)

Just got done playing an hour of soccer in 90 degree weather. Needless to say, still sweating and now seeing salt form on my arms. What a workout!

Hey guys! I know this weekend is a holiday weekend for us in The US, and that means drinking and eating a lot.
Try to limit yourself to smaller portions if you are going to eat badly. Have fun! Be Safe! And may the Biggest Loser Win!

Oh @Leeroy I will be, I worked like a fucking centaur tonight, picking up the slack cus some of the women who work there lately have just been royally bitchy and haven't been working very well... xD
Planning to head to bed soon and I'm not planning to wake up early at all, but busy day tomorrow once I do though ![]()

Workout for the day
50 pushups
50 sit ups
25 pull ups
200 flutter kicks
50 mountain climbers
Did this circuit twice.
If you can not do it, just break it down to what you can accomplish. No need to kill yourself, but simple workouts like this really help to strength the core
Simple workout this morning, and a great way to start off the day:
25 jumping jacks
15 knee tucks
25 sit ups
15 push ups (Wide arm, regular, close arm, diamond, 1 handed)
5 burpees
Did this workout once because I was feeling sloggy this morning. Another great in home work out

I'm scared to weigh myself and not getting notifications.
I copy pasted from another post, so probably broke it.

Girls don't be scared, when you see your number go up, it just means more motivation.
Let's try this again.

I'll send mine in before 2pm NST. I have a dentist appointment, but it's quick. I know it's going to be a gain this week though. I just can't bring myself to exercise. I did so well with that in the first week.
