They did announce a state of emergency not that long ago due to the high violent crime rates...
Nope, that's the province.

Which parts of Greater Buenos Aires fall into, he might not be right in the part of the city that falls into it's own district. Just like how length of people say they live in London as opposed to Greater London, when really they live so far out to barely constitute London at all.
When people ask what part of England Joe is from, we always say "South London" or "just south of London." Basically most people's understanding of England here is "it has London in it."

I probably wasn't all that far from you as a young'un then...I grew up on the border of Surrey.
Missed opportunities.
I still haven't forgiven you for skipping out on Thorpe Park.

My hometown is close to the seas and hills so I used to catch crabs and climb trees during my childhood.

A very small town in the middle of no-where. We were a "dry" town until a few years ago. Even though we have a University, most people in the state couldn't point it out on the map. I think we are also one of the many "Tree City USA". Growing up with a population of 5,000 or so, now doubled. No one can pronounce the name correctly, just like no one pronounces the State correctly.

I can't even remember why I didn't come to Thorpe Park...sheer laziness I suspect.
When Turnip was here a couple of coworkers of mine kept thinking they knew anything about England. When Turnip mentioned any place my coworker was like "oh that's close to London, right?"
England = London.
Centre of the universe.

I remember talking to a guy from California who was asking about where I'm living and he was all surprised that it was small? Since he thought "every town here was like London" ahahah :V
Also I met a girl in Vegas who didn't know people from England spoke English!!! And another guy who thought Manchester was in London.... They really need to make their geography classes in America a bit better lmao

Its so silly that the one chick thought Birmingham was near London!! Like I guess its only three or so hours away but come on its on the other side of the country >w>
A DESCRIPTION OF MY HOME TOWN THOUGH uhhh I grew up in between Dallas and Ft. Worth so I kinda doubt there's anything written about it, and all I did was sit inside playing video games when I lived there lmao. So um.... There are tornados all the time and its fucking hot and droughts all the time ![]()

But in certain states that IS close. Here a 3-hour drive is nothing to get to another city. (for me I normally only travel 30mins-1hr to get to bigger city)

Once HS2 is here that'll be down to like 85 minutes!

Passenger trains barely exist out here
People wouldn't be able to cope with the comparison!
Was more a point about how tiny England is! Kings Cross to Newcastle is under 3 hours...everywhere is ridiculously close really.

If only I had any desire to ever go to Birmingham again...

Parsippany, NJ (pronounced par-SIP-eny)
It's a fairly large suburban town in one of the wealthiest counties in the country. It's pretty culturally diverse, we get to experience all four seasons, there's a small man-made lake around the corner from my house, we have 9 public elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 2 high schools, and lots of parks. It's about a 40 minute drive to NYC, 2 hours to Philadelphia, an hour to the beach, and also in close proximity to rivers, forests, mountains, but there's absolutely nowhere to go within walking distance. The violent crime rate is very low, although we've seen a rapid increase in prescription drug and heroin use over the past several years. ![]()

Yes, part of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area is in the province, but the the city is autonomous, it's like another province.
Hahah no.

Aislated episodes. The crime rate of Buenos Aires is pretty low, especially compared to other cities in South America.
Also, I think people are misunderstanding what redlion wanted from this thread. The way I see it, he was looking for famous quotes which describes the cities.
