The same ones I've been pushing for a long time:
- Fully-functioning, official Neocodex programs
- Expansion into legit tools a la JellyNeo
- Working towards innovation in virtual pet tools
- Regular (monthly) site announcements (use email, too)
- Active, technical administrators to help push innovation and ensure progress
- Better platforming for user-submitted programs
Standard members come here for programs and tools. If a better and wider range was provided I think the community aspect would follow - that's always how it's worked in the past.
Yeah, there's a lot of accumulated 'holes' that have made Codex a little slow as of late. But I agree with these @Dan
Staff are definitely a little inactive, I think we should be holding more competitions, or events on Neo in addition to other ones here. It'd be great to create an atmosphere not dissimilar to premium. Sections for trustworthy members to discuss the CC, Random Contest, etc. and share ideas amongst one another.
Random giveaways throughout the week would be lovely too.
I know we have a 'warning point' system, but how about a 'brownie point' system? Mods, admins and private members hand out such points for acts of decency, generosity, helpfulness etc.
I've actually been hanging out at Zombians lately, since it's been a little dead over here. One of the things I've enjoyed so far have been, the scavenger hunt. It's a brilliant way to familiarise all members (who are serious about being part of our community) with mods, rules, sections of the forum etc.
Also, I really think the user awards need a makeover. They are quite small and a little too simple - I'm not saying completely replace them, just jazz them up a bit and make em a little more fun!
It's the little things that can really count! ^^
I think what Neocodex really needs right now is the reintroduction of negative rep. That would surely solve all of our problems!
Nuuuu! No more negativity!
But seriously, sometimes this place can get a little morbid. It'd be nice to set an overall goal to make it a little cheerful, and bumping up activity would definitely help.
