I think I've asked before too, I would want to see who reps what. But I also thing the anonymity behind it is what lets people rep certain posts and have no worry about who see's it.
Staff Meeting in a suddenly indeterminate amount of time...

Perhaps we could look into allowing members to see who has repped just their own posts?

Some examples of the kind of awards you would like to see might be useful.
Sure. But it seems like everyone else loves them! *goes to sit in a quiet corner* ![]()

If it was something we could adjust the settings on I'd be cool with it, but I wouldn't want people seeing the posts I rep because it would undoubtedly piss people off. ![]()

I've just had a look and it seems to be all or nothing. Sounds like it's largely not wanted anyway. ![]()

Sorry, I meant specifically for retaining members after site events.
Yes, I think we can retain those members by providing the things I mentioned. These are the users who actively play Neopets and use programs (like the score sender), so we can appeal to them by providing the content they're interested in.

Well, maybe next year.

The best part of neg rep imo was being able to see what other people had repped.Pretty sure IPB doesn't have that functionality, we can let people see who has repped individual posts though if that's wanted.
This.I agree, I think the administration situation really needs to be addressed and dealt with now. It's been long enough.

It's something that's already being discussed amongst the admins, not sure how many of the details will be able to be discussed in the team meeting though.

Also, I straight up don't understand why there are 2 working aaaab's on the site, but the abrosia one is still broken.
Laziness.

One major problem that this forum has is that the people aren't involved enough in Neopets. There are and has been plenty of interesting stuff happening whether it be on the boards or on tumblr that had absolutely no coverage here on codex, but were hot topics at competing forums. One such example is the controversial existence and taking down of the pcblacklist which is basically a burn book of the PC. We need new people that are interested in that kind of thing, and we need existing members to encourage such discussion. As of now, everyone is pretty disinterested in all things Neo, which is slightly ironic from a neopets cheating forum.
You know, you can make topics yourself, right?

Another idea to consider is to make finding help for programs easier on the forums. Newbies will always have questions no matter how many FAQs are made, so why not just make an entire forum dedicated to finding and getting help? A lot of us have enough experience with the programs to understand what causes various quirks, so we could just create a helping team whose goal is to answer questions about what we offer.
So, create/renovate a help forum, and create a new subgroup for people who can answer questions.

There's like 3 forums where people ask questions in. We could just combine them into one, couldn't we?
They all have their own individual roles though. One for Abrosia specifically, one for user-submitted programs and one for all other official programs. Combining them would just create confusion.

In addition to program discussion:

Why...

Our forums are pretty fragmented, and we don't deal with anywhere near as much content as we once did.
I think we could seriously simplify by combining some sections and instead enforcing appropriate tags for threads.

I agree.
Perhaps we could combine "Sports" with "General Entertainment".

I think Sports is one where tags have been used extremely effectively. I'm not biting, so don't try.
Which sections were you thinking of specifically?
The forums that aren't used very often anymore. Here are some suggestions (but let's talk about it):
Merged into the "General Chat" section:
Hardware & Software
Life Hacks
Merged into the "Forum Discussion" section:
Forum Help
Forum Suggestions
Merged into "Neopet General Chat" section:
Neopet Battledome
Neopet Avatars
Merge into the "Rules & FAQs" section:
Contest Rules
We have barely any activity in the graphics forums anymore, either, so we could probably get away with the one forum like we do with "Programming Chat Area".
We have a number of polluting old AC forums as well, these should probably be archived.
---
Moreover, changing any forums around stimulates activity on its own. Adding and removing new forums is cheap and easily reversible, we should try a few things out to see what works.

i'm slightly worried with the monthly private members application. for this month there has been only 2 applications and only a single application accepted. there are lots of eligible applicants but no one dares to apply. what happens if no one applies next month?
I'M TRYING! OK?! ![]()
We may reduce the frequency of Private applications if there are not enough to make the monthly process worthwhile. It'll be looked at after the next round.
Maybe, think about doing it the opposite way? Keep applications open indefinitely so that whoever actually meets requirements won't have to wait forever till the next opening. Lest that screws up permissions or something with past applications.

That's possible.
I'm not sure that waiting at most 46 days is really a big deal, though
