Anyone else get hit by that sudden wave of bans?

A lot of people I've talked to got banned / had their currency wiped.

 

I wish I had the 2nd option happen to me.... I just wanted my dragons

What that person did affected countless others linked to me, herself, and other people linked to who she traded with. A lot of people got hit. I don't even know everyone who got hit yet because of her dumbass decision.

Probably. I know at least two people on this forum got hit. Excluding myself. 

 

Screw that person. Can't believe they threw other people under the bus to try and get out of their punishment.

Hopefully they read my tickets, I sent in one a couple days ago, but I'm sending another in now.

Some people got a temp ban, but an account wipe with it if that helps. 

 

Honestly, as long as I get my dragons back, I'll be happy.

ugh such selfishness. I'm curious though... I wonder how the FR staff decided on which accounts to ban and which accounts to clean? Obviously ones with botting were banned but I'm wondering how they decided on the others.

 

gosh I hope our accounts aren't under some high surveillance now or something.

Unfortunately FR's customer service is notoriously bad with responding in general, but I know some people in the community who have been wrongfully banned and sent in a ticket only to be responded to with an automated, obviously copy-and-paste message telling them that the ban will not be appealed no matter how much evidence they may have and that further emails will be ignored. 

 

I really hope you get some sort of answer though, Froggo. Sometimes they don't even respond to emails at all - it's really frustrating.

I honestly don't know who's worse, Neopets or Flight Rising, at customer service at this point.

It took me 2 years to get a response from Neopets, but at least the stuff got sorted out.

 

With Flight Rising, I feel like I'll just be banned forever for no reason.

 

 

I'm not sure on that to be honest. I didn't even know account wipes were a thing until this banwave. My main guess would be people who do a LOT of off site trades with many people got wiped rather than obliterated. I can't give any opinion in public on this matter further without endangering those accounts further, but I do have some theories as to why and how this occurred. 

I'll be doing some personal testing on the matter and let results be known if any of mine result in a wipe.

God I'm sorry this happened to y'all D: I don't have much on my account since I don't have access to the bot yet, but if you need help rebuilding feel free to shoot me a PM! I did get banned by FR once so my two cents there is that they're notoriously hard assed about it. You're better off making a new account than trying to get it back, honestly.

My legit main got denied an appeal. 
 
I didn't even have a ban reason either, and they basically told me tough shit with no answer on why.

Dang. Did it have any contact with illegit accounts? I know FR does this thing where they just ban all accounts if they're on the same IP and a few are causing trouble. The only thing I can think of is emailing them again to find out the reason why, but they've ignored my emails before on stuff like bans. It's odd because usually you can just throw "offsite trade" into CRs and you'll be fine.

All my illegit activities are done on a separate computer entirely under a VPN. 

 

Which wouldn't add up with the fact that I made an account about a day before the banwave and it's the only one left alive. Made it on my real IP and haven't touched it, wasn't linked up with the others. 

 

With that in mind, I honestly think flight rising just hates my guts at this point. 

 

I've heard the Flight Rising admins/mods are a bunch of jerks.

I think they actually are worse than Neopets in terms of customer service!

God, that's a low blow. I hope you get it back! I figure you can just keep emailing them and they'll be forced to respond eventually. That's really shady of them, but unfortunately not out of character.

Yeah, at least Neo gets back to you at some point and you can actually have a conversation - in some form - with them. With Flight Rising, 9 times out of 10 they'll just give you a copy pasted email saying you'll stay banned regardless of what evidence you have and that the answer will never change.

 

It's ridiculously frustrating.

seems the staff has gotten much harsher than they used to be

I remember I used to bot on one of my accounts just because I wanted to try it, and I only got a suspension and they let me keep my things.

 

hmm maybe it depends on which admin bans/suspends you? Maybe some are harsher than others idk. Or it could be a group decision type of thing... I dunno

As long as the game is bringing in dosh with premium currency sales the admins are not going to give a damn what banned players think.

There's still so little do in the game. Festivals just release new pieces of equipment and it's still the same coli grinds for everything. I'm sad to see it be so stagnant.
