Many of you think that just because you have been here for a long time, you are immediately eligible for staff. I can go so far as to say that some moderators have and still think that the longer they are a moderator, the better a chance they have at becoming a super moderator. Id like to inform everyone right here and right now, that this is absolutely not true. The way we select who gets promoted to private member, retired member, staff and admin is through experience, integrity, knowledge, and a little bit of seniority. How long you have been here is not given so much weight as most people think. Although we do take it into consideration, we would like to inform you that based on your reputation and other credentials, we will select you for positions outside of member.higher rank than that of others especially by reason of longer service
I hope this answers some of your thoughts about why you havent gotten into private, why you havent yet been selected for moderator or anything like that. If you have some questions however, please be sure to PM them to me or another admin and we will promptly answer them.
With that said, I'd like to take this opportunity to request that everyone treat everyone else how they would like to be treated. It is how the staff has been instructed to act and I would like to ask that you all do the same. No more name calling, fighting or any of that other crap that we bring onto the forums. This is a community guys; our community. Its only as good as we make it. So lets make it the best. After all, that is the best way to increase your reputation and get spotted by current staff - displaying your maturity and level headedness at all times .
