No, Posts per day do not have very much weight at all. Your applications do have very much on the other hand. Its like a job. No matter how qualified you are for the job, if you blow it at the interview, someone else will get it. Your grammer goes a long way. Why do you want to appear stupid and lazy when you possibly are not? No offence towards anyone, but that's the truth. If I see run on sentences and poor punctuation, I get bored. I hate having to translate.

I'm not going to place any predictions on people, personally i reckon it's a bit harsh, it could potentially raise the hopes of people which will lead to a greater dissapointment if rejected and also those who do not get mentioned may lose faith
