S-So... Mods and Admins, do I have permission to post another topic like the one that got locked originally?

I don't know, the whole issue seems to be in the grey area. Maybe you should contact individual administration.

holy shit.. did I just completely immagine a post by that house guy and me responding to it.. or did it really happen and it got invisibled?you mods/admins have to quit doing this shit to me.. I'm cool if you invised something.. but fucking lemme know.. I'm seriously freaking out because I don't know what's real and what isn't.

Whats weird is I don't see anything invisibilized yet I do recall it xD . Different topic maybe?

Did u not understad what i said? This is the last time im going to say it. Many young people such as myself come to codex when i came to codex i expected a nice little community where everyone is friendly, not a community where everyone was talking about drugs. Look im tired of talking to you. Your just.. annoying. Now im getting over this because i dont really like being a grump. I'm sorry to all that i have annoyed

    A. Everyone is not friendly.
    B. You do have the POWER not to go into topics.
    C. I guarantee you that 'everyone' will not be talking about drugs; only the ones who CLICK the topic link.

    I'm the second youngest codexian

I could've sworn you were like 16-17 years old? I dont see how that'd be second youngest, we have a few 12-15 year olds around.

Anywho, I think it is appropiate for this site. Most people think of weed, ice, and such when they see the word "drug." What if it were a topic about a prescription drug, like..a drug you need to get a prescription for. (cant think of any right now..)
If it's about the illegal stuff, I don't see the big deal. It's not like Member A is going to make a drug deal with Member B right in front of hundreds of people's eyes.
    No biggie in my opinion.

It was real however it was made invis because I didn't know that the person was 12 and was a girl.
I'm just going around and reading bits and pices of this thred so..

I haven't really read anything from this thread, however I think it is very inappropriate and I am quite supprized that it has gone on this long without an admin deleting it considering a lot of the people here are young. If any, few of you have done durgs and those of you who have are idiots. If you are one of those idiots I speak of, maybe you should head over to http://www.drugs-forum.com/ with the rest of the losers there.

"Who care about law? The law isn't always right, so forget about that. What if the law said you couldn't visit this forum? Also, you are an emotional small girl. You're obviously brainwashed by the media."

Laws are made for a reason and you're obviously brainwashed by drugs so just stop talking...

Hey, tell me a bit about your parents... What do they do for a living? In most cases people do drugs because of having bad parents... So... how fucked up are they?

Or maybe it's not that... and you want to look 30% cooler?
(I got that from house, he told somebody studies have been proven that smoking makes you look 30% more cool... HILARIOUS)

I came to this forum thinking it would be a good place to get L2 players and not druggies and idiots who flood the server... Maybe I was wrong if the admins are too blind to see that the auctal young people on this site don't want to read about drugs.

It's time for Bryan's rant time! Woot, go me.

Anyways, I'm just going to start this off by answering the question to the poll.

Do you personally approve of the posting of pro-drug topics on NeoCodex?

    Yes

And now it's time for my rant =)

So, I am going to start with a rebuttal. Woot. Anyways, the most abrasive and disturbing point that I've read in this topic is the fact that NeoCodex is a kid's site. I've just read the Terms of Service and the "Rules" of NeoCodex, plus I read the FAQ and Newbie Guides, and not once did I come across the Administrators deeming Codex a "kid's site." In fact, the only thing I've noticed even regarding age is the fact that the content contained on this site is legally available to minors. So, I have absolutely no idea where this whole idea came up about NeoCodex being a kid's site. In fact, it's explicitally stated as an Online Community for Gaming and Programming. Sure the main focus of this Gaming and Programming is Neopets, but it certainly isn't limited to that. The assumption that NeoCodex is a kid's site because it is legally accessible by minors is completely ludacris. You know why there are age restrictions for forums, because content contained in them is deemed not suitable (by some larger entity) for people under that age. You can (legally in fact) view sites such as Erowid.Org and Urbandictionary.Com that contain many more in depth discussions about drugs. In fact, if you read Urbandictionary's Terms of Service, it says that "It is not appropriate for all audiences", and that "If you do not consider yourself an appropriate user or are offended, do not visit". Urbandictionary has more submissions than does Codex, and to be honest I find that it is a bit more derogatory and vulgar than the "massive amount of topics" on Codex discussing drugs. UD seems not to have a problem posting about these things, and it is legally accessible by minors... I don't see why the Users on Codex should be prohibited from it.

You know, I really wasn't going to rant about this, but it sparked a little fire in me.

Laws are made for a reason and you're obviously brainwashed by drugs.

Although this has nothing to do with answering the poll question, I just wanted to answer it.

That statement has to be one of the most idiotic I've seen on Codex. Laws are made because Governments dictate what the people can and cannot do. Yes they are made for a reason, but they do not always make sense. Jaywalking is illegal, because it presents a danger to drivers on the road. However, just a few days ago, I saw an old couple blatantly jaywalking into heavy traffic. A Police Officer actually had to stop for this couple, or else he would have hit them, but no citations were made. Laws are made to protect, but protection differs with individuals. And to say that anyone is brainwashed by drugs is asinine. To brainwash is to have "the use of express or implied threats of violence or reprisal (as discharge from employment) or other intimidating behavior that puts a person in immediate fear of the consequences in order to compel that person to act against his or her will." To say that drugs will force a person to act against what they believe in is moronic and idiotic, but perhaps I'm just analyzing your vocabulary too thoroughly.

Hey, tell me a bit about your parents... What do they do for a living? In most cases people do drugs because of having bad parents... So... how fucked up are they?

Just completely uncalled for. Attacking parents and asking what they do to support a family?

"In most cases people do drugs because of having bad parents..."

In all cases, people do drugs because they themselves decide too. Having bad parents is just mere coincidence, but the media seems to make that proof.

    Back on topic =)

Brkn, there is more to this topic than you're letting on, and I find it completely unfair for you to argue against points when you yourself aren't giving your complete points.

Drugs are illegal in America and other countries. However, America and these other countries haven't said that discussion of drugs is illegal. Drugs can be used freely by "minors" in certain countries, why should a Web-Forum (available to any individual in the world) prohibit the right to discuss it? Marijuana is legal in Amsterdam, why not in America? Because the group that is the most powerful in America has decided that it is harmful. (Keep in mind that these "studies" on drugs and their "consequences" are available throughout the whole world) Individuals decide different things based on their experience. In this case, individuals just means government.

Sooo, to end my rant. I personally think Pro-Drug discussion should be allowed. Unless administrators decide to bring morals and ethics into question (which differ from EVERY SINGLE individual), I cannot see a reason why it shouldn't.

    To end

Maybe I was wrong if the admins are too blind to see that the auctal young people on this site don't want to read about drugs.

Maybe young people don't want to see the "Hottest People of the Opposite Sex", but you agree with it as an individual, so you aren't attacking that.

Yea, why not? Knowledge kills ignorance. Doing drugs is like..punching yourself in the arm, in moderation, it won't do any damage. But if abused, it'll fucking hurt ya.

It's a great movie, the photography was great, and Sara Goldfarb's monolouge during the middle of the movie just shook me. I've never really been a sucker for anything except someone who tried to start a business and don't have customers (Weird, I know.) and people who have nothing to do.

Either way, the point of Requiem was to show that addiction will kill you, even if you are innocent [of knowledge]. Television, drugs, coffee, computers -- anything will bear away at you and kill you physically and/or emotionally.

The movie actually works great to remind people of the dangers of drugs without regarding drugs bad with totality. Then again, the ending (heart wrenching...) placed them all in horrible situations.

I'm for drug topics on codex cause they can give teens advice and other peoples accounts on whats happening in the real world. This can deffinately alter their descision in a good way or possibly bad (were we have people promoting and saying "duuuude this is so awesome....duuuddeee"

Could people at least think about this when they say Drugs can kill you?

A gun can kill you, and many more people. They're LEGAL.
A hammer can be used as a murder weapon, again. Legal.
So could a saw, a rock, or a heavy object.

As long as a drug is used responsibly , you're FINE, unless you have an allergy to it or something, so PLEASE, don't come in here with the idea that "All drugs are bad, they kill people!" Anything can kill you. Gah.

Yeah, but we aren't talking about the legality of things. That really only applies to countries where the drugs are illegal.

Besides, I'm sure there are a bit more people out there snorting coke than sawdust. And I can't remember the last time I've heard of someone injecting liquid graphite into themselves for a high.
