That's not even a reasonable comparison. It might be if we lived a few hundred years ago, but we don't. Unlike back then, we don't go to war for such an idiotic and trivial thing. Not only that, but there is a difference between 'kicking somebody's ass' and killing thousands if not millions of people because one guy called our idiot of a president the devil. Hmm.. Just because someone calls someone else the devil does not mean we go to war over it. There is the thing of losing men while we're in war, and if we're in war for no reason, why lose people? Yes it is, okay, if every country is scared of us, then they wont think to cross us, if we are friend with germany, and they think we are weak, then they will probally attack us again, thinking now is there time to strike, but if we bomb the shit out of a country, they will be like, bark, and then act all nicey nicey around us, the world isnt sugar coated, no country will like us, whether we are weak, or strong, so we might as well save some lifes and make them scared.
