Some staff are currently abusing their power or aren't fully aware of their own job and it's requirements. Some people are getting warned because staff are too emotional or hyped up enough and it's pissing some members of (got two complaints today on msn.)

I mean seriously, it's not exactly hard, infact it's a pile of piss to do what staff do, anyone could do it! Yet people still fuck up on a regular basis. I think some staff need to be looked at and personally I feel so be demoted. (Not going to name names since some jobsworth mod would see that as flaming )

I've said numerous times that some staff members are inept, but they just end up closing the threads.

Just keep the debate objective and we won't have to close anything. Just keep facts in the picture.

If it matters, we do think the rules need a bit of changing because they've turned into a pile of poo over the years. Also, we're still ironing out staff stuff and so any input is valuable.

Anyway, staff are having a lot of discussion about this problem and we're as eager to see something done about it as you are. I know discussion wont sound very productive, but it's got to start somewhere.

If you don't feel like you can post the naming and shaming here, it might still be a plan to tell someone in staff (if you haven't already). I for one would prefer to know if people thought I was doing a shit job , instead of hearing general comments and getting paranoid that it's me. Particularly when this is something I really want to avoid slipping into .

We're responsible for staff evaluations right now and you can name names with us. Even if it is me who you are talking about. If it is me, I accept criticism for that too xD I may possibly give an explanation back for my own behavior, but beyond that... I think it would help to put the exact punishments beside the rules and specify the rules more. Might help a little bit. I haven't experienced the staff doing anything like that but I haven't been here long enough so it might happen.

I know that we have a warn guide in staff, but actually I'm pretty sure it's not public. That's not a bad idea.

On a side note- I think that is funny. That is the same shit I hear when I whine about the drug topics, except sometimes it is staff saying that. xD Then when it comes to topics like this, it is no longer "No-one forces you to read these threads." Just an example of the double standards.

This is why I like new moderators. The older ones feel so damn sure of themselves that they're not going to change their ways; new ones are more likely to listen to complaints and change the way they moderate.

Because I've been private, and I don't like how it is simply a popularity contest. I don't know, maybe I just have a different perception of what Private should really be. I may have to talk to someone about that when the results come out.

Problem is "staff" is doing something about it yet the very people we are talking about are on staff, so how does anything go about getting changed? The very people who are in danger of losing their power are the "staff" doing something about fixing some of the staff and their power issues. Doesn't make sense right? This should be something Super Mod + should be handling if that's not already the case.

I'm glad you know how to run staff better than the staff does
