diving... but I pressed a button on my remote and it made the DVR lose what I was watching so I got pissed and had to look up the results online.

Mmm well they do have home-field advantage so I guess that revs them up a bit. The gold medal race was close at Athens. US was first with 36, but China was second with 32. Now though, China is WAY ahead.

That entire race was insane. First time I've seen TWO disqualifications in a race. Better yet, the 2 disqualifications gave the US silver and bronze.

Minimum age of 16? Is that just for Gymnastics then? Our diver is 14

Yep just gymnastics because it gives them a big advantage in terms of flexibility. Apparently North Korea had someone kicked out a few years ago because they claimed the same person was 15 for 3 years in a row.

Just for Gymnastics, yeah. Because the younger the competitor is the lighter they're likely to be and so will have a greater strength/weight ratio making almost every event easier. Gives you a huge advantage.
The movement in diving is controlled by gravity so as long as you're strong enough to cope with the spins and everything it shouldn't make too much difference.
Boo. Laser got there first.
