No, I just come from a country so thoroughly obsessed with rugby, that domestic violence rates go up insanely high on nights where our national team loses.

From a country that values sports so much, that grown men are brought to tears because their team lost the world championships (or whatever it's called).

Don't tell me I don't understand. I just also happen to think sport teams are usually highly overrated, overpaid and generally takes less mental ability than it takes to turn a tv on.

Quit PMSing.

You're so jaded in your post it's not even funny.

I said you're not American, you wouldn't understand. By speaking about Rugby, you favor my point because NO ONE IN AMERICA GIVES A FLYING FUCK ABOUT RUGBY.

Jesus, I seriously think that you come on here to start fights.

Get off your fucking high horse, you're no better than anyone on this site. I find the fact that you're a full time law student and spend the majority of your free time playing Neopets and posting nonsense on this website quite ridiculous.

You could never understand the mental trials a professional athlete is put through. Not only do they have the stress of the game, but there's some popular stories about women sleeping with the player with a condom and taking the condom and pouring the fluid in just to get money from the guy. Sports players are overpaid because it's entertainment, and as long as people have money to spend, they're going to want to be entertained. Just because you don't like it does

tl;dr: Fuck off you vagina.

Yes over-paid (to an extent, you have take in the fact that sports creates hundreds of thousands of jobs, pumps millions into the economy, creates nationalism and patroism and is generally entertaining), but I'm also sure you would not be able to create and put into the play of the tactics used in football and rugby. You may be academically smart but you can't transfer that to sports, trust me as an academic and a sports enthuasist.

Ugh, and you don't think BRYAN was being a condescending bitch too? Nice. Just nice.

Both of you have opinions and opinions deserve some respect. For the record, I'm American and never gave a shit about my college teams. You're a GUY, Bryan. Of course you know about this stuff. Keep in mind the topic creator is also gay (or bi, I don't know). His interests may be elsewhere. Just because he doesn't know some athlete, doesn't mean he doesn't go to the school or whatever you were trying to prove. That's a ridiculous point.

Overact much? I was pointing out that not everyone cares about sport like you do. While you think all Americans love baseball and follow it closely enough to know who was a uni team is obviously an incorrect assumption. When I mention this, you think I based it on the fact that I wasn't from America. Please remember people can have opinions even if they aren't from the same country as you. And, I'll add, other countries have sports. The fact that you totally missed the point about why I mentioned rugby is quite astounding. You can't provoke someone and expect pleasantries in reply. It's just not going to happen.

Law is a piece of cake. I don't care about getting As, I'm happy as a B student, and enjoy being able to have free time while studying. I don't go out and get high or drunk on a regular basis unlike many other students which wastes a fair amount of free time for other students.
The funny thing is, I can get the same marks as others that have to study hard out. Which I'm fine with.
Maybe you have to study all day to get anywhere in uni, I don't smile.gif
Also, not that it's actually any of your business but today I've spent a total of... 30 minutes on neopets and about an hour on here, trying to reply to people to keep some activity going. I also spent 3 hours on an essay and a further hour on some research. And this is a day off for me.

If I don't like something, or agree with something gives me every right to voice my thoughts about that. Silence accomplishes nothing.

How am I overreacting? I make a joke about sports teams and you use vulgarity as a reply. Read rule number 3. How is responding to a joke with "I don't give a flying fuck" mature?

Quit making assumptions, honestly. I never implied nor said that all Americans love baseball, and the emoticon after my statement '=P' should've implied I was joking.

I didn't provoke anyone, honestly you're just overreacting. I made a point about American baseball, then you mention rugby. My point is correct in you not understanding it, because it was a fucking joke and obviously you didn't comprehend that.

How do you know if law is a piece of cake if you're complacent with below excellent marks? You can't say something isn't easy if you don't have it mastered. And for something as easy as law, straight B's doesn't prove a mastery.

The funny thing is, I can drink and smoke all day, not study at all and still get straight A's in two different degree programs.
Maybe you have to study to get B's, I get to sit on my ass and do better than you smile.gif

Also, maybe once you realize that simply replying to people and starting pointless posts isn't going to boost activity, we can actually try and bring some traffic to this site.

Tetiel, I was joking. I had a friend at the school whom he didn't know, and I made a joke about him not knowing. This shouldn't have been taken seriously at all, but Ange made sure the full force of the Kiwi was brought down to argue a simple joke.

I understand that, but really, both of you were in the wrong when replying to each other. I was more just angry at Euphoria for thinking that Kitsune was the only one being pissy (especially since he hasn't even BEEN HERE for a year). I wasn't yelling at you by any means, so sorry if it appeared that way. I wasn't pleased to log on and find on Kitsune's resigning because people's comments have finally gotten to her.

It takes the new one to get us back on topic, nice xD

Anyways, to know you're really in love, I think you need to find yourself unable to be attracted to others. This means you won't want to be with anyone else. Ever. You don't even have the thought because you're happy with what you got.

I think that it's perfectly plausible to be attracted physically to someone else, it's the mental attraction that should be an individual trait.

Oh yes, thank you. It was more the mental attraction that I meant. Physical attraction isn't controlled by that I think.

The only issue I had with you is that you chose to say that I was 'proving a point' when I was joking.

I wasn't pleased either.

I don't think you can know for a long time, honestly. The test of love isn't the good times, or even the bad times, but down times when things have had a chance to settle down and you can take a step back and truly take a good look at the situation without rose-tinted glasses.

Did you read his post?

He said he listened to a song which made him think of his significant other. I'm pretty sure he posted this to see what everyone's opinions and debates were.

I don't think he expected... THAT up there. It's very easy to read things wrong though when you're already heated.

And on-topic: I believe I know.. or knew, but then again if I'm saying "I believe" not "I know," then how can I be? A lot of it is most likely attached with me.

So to tell you the truth, I couldn't really tell you. But the times when I believed I "knew," I just looked at him and knew. To me there is nothing besides that. If you know all their flaws and still want to be with them, then you're either in actual love, or you're dependent on them and need them to not be lonely.

For example: There was an episode of a TV show - Grey's Anatomy - the woman's husband wanted to be a woman. The woman stayed with her husband through everything, leaving a couple of times, but always coming back. Why did she put herself through the torture? She loved him. She wanted to be with him. And when her husband got cancer? She still stayed.

So as what Cassy said, when you love someone, no matter how they change (in this case looks and his personality changed to more feminine), you still love them.

And to Brandon: If you start crying thinking about someone's death, does not necessarily mean you are actually in love. You might do this over a friend, an animal, or a family member, too, so in that way it gets confusing whether you actually do love the person as a significant other or just as a friend.

Sadly, love has become lust and lust has become love in the way people use both terms. I see a lot of 12 year old girls thinking they are in love and I'm sure there are plenty of people that have lost their true love because of mistaking the feelings as lust.

I had a relationship for 6years. It ended 4month ago now... And to be really honest I guess the love left after 3-4years. But I never was sure about that. In retrospectiv I guess I was just afraid of beeing alone and losing him as an important attachment figure. Realising that was really tough because it really was a long time where I lied to myself. And thats what makes it difficult for me now to decide when I meet a guy if there is really something more or if I am just fooling myself again...

I know how you feel.

I know I'm capable of loving him, that's why I stay. I'm waiting for it. I know I wouldn't be able to get anybody else as wonderful as him, so I have to accept him for who he is.

I do believe I was in love with him at one point, so I can again. Some things just need to change.

But now I'm rambling xP.
