Not calling them out, but oaken is retired as is nick a private and raui programming leader....

I'm pretty sure that he just didn't get around to demoting everyone yet. That's what it sounds like. Like for example, how can Raui do his duties as Programming Leader here if you are paying him not to? It really doesn't do codex much good.

They are officially our competition. I am going to have to say that paid programmers cannot release new programs to a rival site(codex now included sadly, was there choice though).

Perhaps some communication with Hydro on why people are leaving the site and what the staff and programmers at neo-sin are allowed to do and not to do would educate him a bit more on your policies, and prompt him to take another look at his decisions.

Still haven't answered the question of why Kitsune was demoted to regular member.

I wasn't involved with these demotions (which is why I didn't want to comment on why she got demoted). Until I have some kind of staff bar by my name, I'll just leave the actual staff do the staff stuff.

I'll be pissed if I lose my Retired rank for joining another forum. Icey Defeat was releasing programs to other sites rather than here and still got to keep his rank and I wouldn't be surprised if other people are highly ranked on other forums as well.

I think what happened to Ange is pretty disgusting to be honest.

Codex is okay to ask for help with homework. It's unethical to ask us to do your homework.

Maybe unethical to you but I think it's fine if he wants to try and attempt to get help... None of you HAVE to help him. Also if hes offering something that you're interested in, that makes it fair. By the look of the assignment its not too hard or crazy, just asking for a few paragraphs of typing or so.

The amount of drama in this thread is amazing, something I'd expect from a bunch of 9th graders or something.

I believe that's just fine too....... if the programmers agree to not program for Codex, thats their choice and just shows their loyalty. People should only be demoted for inactivity or bad actions, not for joining another site.

Codex's worrying of other people joining other sites may be the cause of its own death.

Ok, well maybe Hydro forgot about that precedent with Icey. Ranks are something that can be given back if adjusted in error, so like pyke said, chill until we receive some clarification on the issue or until someone decides an official stance on this.

I doubt that any demotions would arise for simply joining the site -- there's no reason for that. If you do accept responsibilities there though, and they conflict with the responsibilities that you have here, then there may be grounds. If they do not conflict, then that's good, let the admins know so they aren't in doubt about your situation.

You didn't just "join", you became staff there. This is a different issue altogether, like I said above.

And here I was all ready to ask for a demotion in solidarity. I think you guys were way too quick to demote her. High ranked staff/josh+alias should just have a conversation and clarify things to prevent future unpleasent crap from happening
