What are the ranks for Yooyuball? Like how many shots to get to Rank 3 then 4 then 5?

    Based on purely YYB wins:

    Rank 1 = 50
    Rank 2 = 100
    Rank 3 = 150
    Rank 4 = 200
    Rank 5 = 275
    Rank 6 = 350
    Rank 7 = 425
    Rank 8 = 500
    Rank 9 = 600
    Rank 10 = 700
    Rank 11 = 800
    Rank 12 = 900
    Rank 13 = 1025
    Rank 14 = 1150
    Rank 15 = 1275
    Rank 16 = 1400
    Rank 17 = 1550
    Rank 18 = 1700
    Rank 19 = 1850
    Rank 20 = 2000

And if you want to do the math for your other games, SS=1/2 and MSN and SOSD are worth 1/12. YYB draw = 1/3

I use SunnyNeo's Altador Cup Rank Calculator. It makes things much easier:

It's by wings or shots? Wins is insane.

    Wins. I'm averaging 7.8 shots a game... I have about 225 wins :p

Yeah it's wins not shows. 2000 shots would be a piece of cake, 2000 wins is just ridiculous. I've got over 50 wins plus another 10 or so points in side games.

at 3 minutes MAX a game, that's a max of 20 games per hour (the more you score, the faster time goes by)

I average about 23 game per hour if I play nonstop.

You are only allowed to play 301 games per day. (which is... roughly 15 hours a day)

So, by playing 15 hours a day for 7 days straight, you'll get all 2000 wins :)

How many days are there total for the tourny?

30 in regular tourny. plus I think another 2 or 3 for Finals. I don't remember if Finals are a 1 day thing still, or if you play over 2 days.

Edit: YESTERDAY was the start of Round 2. After today, there will only be 13 days until Finals

Ok so to get to rank 20, you'd need 63 wins per day over 32 days. And that's 32 days IF you get to the finals, otherwise it's 30 days - 67 wins.

    63 * 3 mins - 189 minutes - just over 3 hours a day.

    Fuck. That. Shit.

Everyone gets into the Finals. If your team isnt one of the final 4 teams, TNT lets you pick one of those teams. But, 63 wins a day is a lot.

Ohh, I thought they didn't let you choose again at all but I must have got it wrong last year and thought it was the same now.

Its been like that since ACI O_o

I thought everyone goes to the finals. You get 4 sets of 4-team tourneys.

    1-4 compete for #1
    5-8 compete for #5
    etc.

At least that's what I gathered... but it is kind of far off from the norm of previous tournaments.

I lied. I believe it's a 4 day thing. I'm not sure. All I know is only the top 4 teams play.

    I have around 10 goals per game(2,443 in 243), rank 4...
But seriously, Neopets encourages social inepts...
Also, YYB lasts 3 minutes - the amouts of goals made*8 seconds.

With scoring 10 a game, you save 80 seconds :p

    As for info on finals...

TNT said that the AC would last 34 days, and there are 30 days in regular tourny. So it should be the top 4 all play eachother.

That's weird, last time I checked, finals were only 2 days:
    1st vs 4th
    2nd vs 3rd

Winner vs Winner for 1st and 2nd
Loser vs Loser for 3rd and 4th

But they're selling a 34-ticket set for the NC challenge... so they somehow stretched it to 4 days? Wonder how that's going to work....

I for some reason seeing it being 1 vs 2, and 3 vs 4 for 4 days. Winner take all.

Guys, here is how finals works:

At the conclusion of the double round robin phase, all 16 teams will move on to take part in the four-day finals phase, which will consist of a playoff match-up and a final match-up. Each finals phase match-up lasts two days.

Within each four-team rank grouping (1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16), the highest and lowest ranked teams will play against each other, while the second and third ranked teams will also pair off. The winners of each match-up will then face off for first place of that group, while the losers will compete for third place of that group.

The four leading teams overall will still be in contention for a place on the Altador Cup winners' pedestal, but a fourth place team could also sneak to the top with two wins and emerge victorious!

I thought I read something like this but I thought the math was fuzzy on how it was going to last 2 days.

But yeah... I thought for certain that EVERYONE was doing finals.

Thanks for clearing that up. Just didn't remember where I read it.

No problem guys, and that's how the finals were last year I believe.

Yeah it's on the Rules page of the Altador Cup and then you have to click Tournament Structure.
