Retail workers do not get disciplined if shoplifters get away with items, unless it's that workers personal fault. And let's be fair, who can't catch a shoplifter, they're all fucking obvious.

(Also, teens stealing do not damage major corps as much as you think they do. Drug addicts on the other, I.E people stealing to make a profit, are a different story)

I feel that shoplifting is stealing, plain and simple. I wouldn't steal from another individual, and although stealing from a mega corporation is further removed from the humanity of it all, it's still stealing. =/
