Thanks for the comment. Yes it is very sloppy, but it wasn't originally made to be listened to by itself. It's always mixed with another song (or two) during live sessions, and the crowd surge needs some work.

Das Lied von Alex: really enjoyable once it finally got going, but it really sounds like you're trying to cram too many elements into the intro.

Hard Styled: loved this one. the muted/distorted kick really helps pull everything together. the addition phasing and distorting throughout the rest of the track keeps things in check. honestly, reminds me of something from Sonic Heroes... haha

Back to School: not too bad. this actually sounds like something that (with lyrics) could actually be mainstream (i.e. Lady Gaga/Freezepop-ish). very nicely done.

Get Gone: i don't like the intro. kinda sounds forced around, until about 0:45. then it kicks into high gear and unscrews itself.

i use FL quite a bit myself, not so much with my newest project, but i have dabbled a lot in techno/digi-rock. a previous band of mine was like a more-rocking, less-sucking version of Freezepop, so i know that you've done quite a bit of work on these, but there is always room for improvement. perhaps more melody and less "how-much-sound-can-i-pack-into-this-before-your-earholes-explode?" i know it's techno, but you can step outside the "boundaries" more. Back to School has inklings of this, but doesn't focus enough, and kinda bounces around.

all in all, not a bad job.

I agree. I've been working on a new version, and I've cut out the intro all together and just created a small segway into the main song. So no more intro bass. I'll post the new one once it's more complete. Did you find the strings a bit flat in the second half of the song? I'm thinking of adding a big-room reverb or something to the strings to make them sound fuller.

Hard Styled: loved this one. the muted/distorted kick really helps pull everything together. the addition phasing and distorting throughout the rest of the track keeps things in check. honestly, reminds me of something from Sonic Heroes... haha

Haha someone on another forum said the same thing about it sounding like Sonic Heroes. I'd never even heard of Sonic Heroes before then, so I guess I'll take that as a compliment? :p You don't think the drop at 2:00 (exactly) is too cliche?

Back to School: not too bad. this actually sounds like something that (with lyrics) could actually be mainstream (i.e. Lady Gaga/Freezepop-ish). very nicely done.

Well, are you any good with lyrics? I have a vocalist (me! lol) but I suck at writing lyrics, and I'd take hours to find a less-than-suitable melody for said lyrics. So maybe we can work together to chop it up and put vocals to it? Just an idea.

Get Gone: i don't like the intro. kinda sounds forced around, until about 0:45. then it kicks into high gear and unscrews itself.

Me neither. I don't like the intro at all, and I don't like several elements of the song currently. But as I said, it's still a work in progress. I'll update this thread when I update the song.

Sometimes, I try to think simple, but every time, my music ends up sounding too complicated. I've been trying to create more simplistic beats and melodies, but my mind is just too complex for that I guess. Sometimes, I can't sleep at night because the sound of hundreds, if not thousands, of random sounds and melodies play through my mind. Sometimes, it's so bad I have to take a sleeping pill. Most of my music is a product of my musical insomnia.

Thank you for the comment. I really appreciate it. But if you don't mind, could you elaborate on what you don't like about my music? I noticed you only mentioned two songs. Did you dislike the other two? Please be as critical as possible. Negative = positive when it comes to criticism, because without some constructive negativity, I can't know where to improve my music.

Back to school was the only song I played all the way through on first listen. If I thizz tomorrow, I'll probably play it for all the homies :).

You and everyone's cousin. Every other "hipster" in my school made his own shitty techno music. Truly it's the laziest form of music. No singing, no instrument and no depth.

It's even worse than rap in my opinion. At least they "sing", if you could call it that, with beats in the background produced by some synthesizer.

But, good luck becoming the next Bassnectar.

    Love electro.

Das Lied von Alex - sounds pretty awesome, but as someone metioned allready I think theres probably too many different things going on in it.

Hard Styled - Nice, would listen to this again :)

Back to School - not my cup of tea but nothing wrong with it.

Get Gone - Love! Honestly I think with a couple of tweeks (and I don't know what as I have no experience of mixing, only listening haha) this one could do well if ever released!

Not my kinda music, but the lyrics are meaningful and well thought through. If you'd like to work with me, I'd be honored.

Can you produce anything close to what I can? Can you? If so, do it. Download FL Studio and show me that anyone and his cousin can produce electronica. It takes creativity and years of practice to achieve the sounds I have been able to achieve, and I spend days working on each song, sometimes weeks. I make every sound completely from scratch. It's very far from lazy, thank you.

I'm a big hardstyle fan. I don't know if I would consider Hard Styled real hardstyle though because the bass doesn't seem strong enough.
But overall, it's a sweet song.

edited because I read your other post. Didn't want to be an ass when you're going through a rough patch. Mainly, I just don't like techno. It's not that I don't like your techno, just the genera in general.

I understand. Some people just don't like techno, like I just don't like rock. Everyone has their own opinion, and that's perfectly alright. I can't expect everyone to agree with me.

Random, thanks for the comment, but you posted it three times. I don't even know how that's possible with auto-merge double post.

Definitely not my genre really. They all feel kind of empty. I really like your drumming sequences, they're on point for the most part. Some of the kicks and bass in Hard Style sounds a bit off tempo. For what you're doing in most of the songs, creating synths and rolling them over drumming patterns I just don't get a complete feel. I know it's not your type of sound, but this guy makes good use of synthesizers, drum sequences and various other sounds to give it a 'complete' feel. Ignore the filters and what not but using back-sampling can add a bit more depth to your feel.
