#2029993 Turning Neopets' fate round, how would you do it?

Posted by Badger on 13 July 2019 - 04:16 PM

Do like Jagex and offer an Old School Neopets version of the site; reverting back to when there was no NC and there was no "conversion" of pets.

Obviously they would still have to do something about all the Flash-based content, perhaps convert all the Flash games into HTML5.

All the world maps could use the old JPGs, until they could upgrade those to HTML5 as well.

Then any major changes to the game save for new content should be voted in by user polls.

Ideally the site should also be responsive and work on any screen size and device as well, but at the very least they would need a mobile app.

Also, revamp their terrible customer service...

Bringing the Battledome back into site events would be great too.

I don't like coffee.

Haven't had a cup for years. It makes me jittery and gives me dry eyes.

Me too!... gives me a horrible headache.

Used to be able to drink it, now it makes me feel like I'm hungover.

#1710418 Ambrosia settings for Adv.mem (ive searched i promise!)

Posted by Badger on 15 January 2014 - 01:54 PM

Refresh Rates
5-30: Patient Grasshopper
5-12: normal sane aber

4 โ€“ 8: Scot <------- this is ideal (tweakable)
3-8: Noit

Buy Times(Prehaggle + OCR total):

1.5+ - Living life in the slow lane
.6 โ€“ 1.5: normal <----------- ideal
.5 โ€“ 1.1: still safe
.4 - .9: risky

As you can see from the guide, you need to adjust the settings yourself to suit your tastes.

If you want to be risky, set the MS pre-haggle delay and OCR delay as low as you dare.

Because everyone's location and internet connection are different, my 0.1-0.1 for both settings puts me at 1900-2100 ms buy times (slow), while you putting that setting may get you iced.

Just keep lowering your settings until you get that risky setting you want; it probably won't help to copy others.

#1652546 Minimum Profit Value

Posted by Badger on 03 March 2013 - 07:04 PM

I put 2000. I think a lot of people use 5000.

The reason why I do that is because I'd rather make 2000 than completely opting out of buying the item.

2000 is still high enough to help filter out the crappy items that you might lose money on though.

It also helps to clear out the shop when other people aren't really buying it, to make room for better items.

However I also set profit to be at least 100% of the price, as I don't want to buy a 10k item only to sell it for 12k, for example.

The higher the price, the more likely the price is to jump around and lower, thus putting you out of pocket particularly on HTS.

Awesome! Any plans on making a Mac-friendly version?

I've been missing having an auto trainer.

#1553332 [GUIDE] Easy Auto-bumper

Even more simplified and handy way to do this via a Greasemonkey script.

Neopets Neoboards Auto Bumper

I use this myself regularly, no need to edit any code or anything.

It brings up a little box below your NFs that appears every time you are on a board.

When you save the settings, you will have the option to start it.
