Hopeless

I haven't really gone back since the new coli was implemented, but I do miss FR every once in a while... I should go feed my dragons.

I totally missed on this last round. -_- It would have been worth it to, because I recently learned:

If you pick the quest refresh boon, you can use it on the Crafting Faerie quests. Since you get a Delina quest daily with this event, that's one more chance at an FFQ every day.

Got a Faerie Furniture Shopkeeper Stamp for the free item today (not bad for a freebie). Also, got the Grey Faerie for the first quest (large screenshots, srry):

Looks like for the prize, she "asks for the help of another faerie", so you can end up with any of the faerie rewards - looks like someone's already even gotten access to the Rainbow Fountain after completing a Grey Faerie quest...

Sketch for week 8 (I should have posted this yesterday, sorry!):

Spoiler

It's inside the spoiler I edited that because when I post from my phone, I don't know the real size, and when I saw that with my computer, I realized how big that image was lol

Oh wow. Heheh. It's late. ^^

That's some great line work!

My V-Day turned around! My biggest crush of like five years is coming over in a little bit to hang out. I'm so nervous that I can practically feel my heart beating out of my chest, haha.

Yussssss - good luck You got this!

@Fikri - it looks like you can still collect interest with no problems, according to the boards.

I also found this response from TNT that someone posted:

"A solution for your issue has been suggested.

We've added extra logs to have a better view of NP removal, and our logs show that yours was completed.

Unfortunately we do not see any missing np."

Quite the explanation, TNT.

I love this!!!! If you didn't say you hadn't drawn something like this before I'd be demanding a link to your webcomic, because this feels like this is straight out of a brilliant new story rich world. ♥

Thank you I've never attempted a web comic before but I bet we could come up with one... there are a lot of great artists on this board! I don't trust my story-telling skills enough.

"Spotty just like the site's performance" - stranger on the internet

Looks like it might be kind of difficult to customize.

Thanks, @Chappy ^^ This happens to line up perfectly with my sketching goals, heheh.

@Kord & @Fikri, you are too sweet! <3

@Chappy - I know you're already deep into this and not adding to the reminder list, but I've been trying to draw more recently so I thought I'd jump in on the art posting.

A friend of mine is doing a sketchbook swap, so it's been forcing me to get back into it. The sketchbook I received this week is themed "mech", so I had to try to draw something mech-related (I've never drawn anything like that, really, so I kind of just put tubes everywhere. Also I couldn't think of anything cool to do for the legs so I kind of just stuck him in the dirt):

Spoiler

(HUGS) sweetie, I can't be nominated because I was very happily nominated and voted to MOTM for January, but thank you.   Why not change your ballot to put a different third nominee in instead?

Whoops, heheh In that case I nominate @ortin, for all your help when I was just getting started with FR, and always being open to help. (There's many more I'd like to nominate, but these are the first I wanted to recognize for this.)

1. @Kord because of her endless friendliness, here and on the MC server. You don't have to be as patient as you are, but you always are, and you're always a sweetheart about it! <3

2. @Strategist because of his openness to help out those of us that are still fairly new around here - I've also already greatly enjoyed your help and company on the MC server! Thanks for getting @jorrakay set up, too.

3. @Rocket for always being so helpful, and for getting me started with NeoCodex in the first place, whether she realizes it or not. You're also awesome for putting together that FR giveaway. You could have seriously cashed in with those eggs and scrolls but instead you spent time and effort putting together a giveaway to share with us... thank you!

@Bee - Lessons with your mom sounds like a fantastic idea, especially since she's used to teaching languages!

@AkihabaraKnight - I just looked up the Spanish you used in your post because I had to know what "el diablo azul es altissimo" was (surely more than just a nonsensical phrase?)... and apparently it's an old movie starring a luchador named the Blue Demon:

Anyway Japanese would be awesome to learn! My little sister is trying to pick it up while she's in Korea, but she might fly to Japan because it forces you to learn the language faster when you can't use a different language to help explain yourself. Honestly, I like Rosetta Stone and I don't think it does a bad job, it's just impossible to learn everything without real world practice. I could learn a sentence like "the little girl drinks water and reads a book" very quickly after using Rosetta Stone. I could feel really good about that, get excited and try to talk to my mother about it, and realize I can't even describe learning that sentence in Korean because I still don't know enough Korean - even though I can say "the little girl drinks water and reads a book" perfectly. That's my experience so far, anyway. I think taking classes with other people who are learning it with you would help a lot, though! Especially if that group contains some people who are already fluent enough to help you along the way.

Also I feel you on the subs, I'd love to be able to watch an anime without having to read constantly! Heheh.

@Padme - I think it's really cool that there's a spelling system for words - I'll definitely look up some AMAs! There was a mini one on Reddit one day when a documentary maker uploaded his film about a school for the deaf, but the video had no closed captioning. They seemed to get that straightened out pretty quickly though. I feel like that is true about learning any new language, if you can rely on the one you use the most, it's harder to make yourself use a different one. I'm glad you liked the video! I seriously got chills the first time I saw it, but I realize I don't have an understanding of ASL so I couldn't testify for his skills.

@Wisdom - What would you pick instead of Chinese?

@Sockoo - Cool, @Swarley mentioned that he could speak a little Portunhol as well! How do you think you'll be going about learning French?

Finally finished up the island and the house! @Strategist even came to visit and helped me out with some diamonds - I should have taken a screenshot.

Thought I'd do something different for the first cabin:

I built this little island off of the mushroom one with @Kord's hill Just a shot of it from the new house:
