Hey guys,

As sudden as this is, I'm signing off, for the last time.

This is quite the decision for me to leave Neopets after my comeback this February. A big one at that. And so I thought I'd tell you a bit about why I decided to join up.

As many of you know, I haven't had the easiest life, and I think it might be good for me to tell you guys why the past six months have been so important to me.

As a child I was abused from age 4 up until the age of 17. For a while afterwards, I was fine. Then, last year I had an intense breakdown including self-harm, suicide attempts, and drinking to a very dangerous point. I came out of rehab early February confused and lost. I really had no idea who I was or what my life had been like. As a result, I went back to my childhood, to relive the moments that were good, that were safe. It didn't take me long to rediscover Neopets that I had given up 5 years earlier. Then I met this wonderful little community full of intelligent people who came up with a brilliant way to crack TNT's shit wide open! And I really liked that.

It's been wonderful, it really has. But today I've made some very important decisions regarding the direction of my life. I'm moving on to greener pastures and I'm really proud that I can actually take control of my life and trust myself enough to move on. My time with Neo really has come to an end but I'm thankful that I accomplished what I set out to; a journey into my past - as cheesy as that sounds.

So with my last goodbye, I thought I'd thank you all for a pleasurable time here. Of course, I know some of you will be glad to see off my complaining and iron edged opinions, and I truly am sorry if I've upset a lot of you. I am human.

So to everyone here, thank you for being an important piece in a chapter of my life that I'm ready to close.

Lmao, I think everyone's heard enough about my rants on the issue. But tbh, I don't mind. I think the user title is enough, or maybe a disclaimer on our member profile? I dunno.

You actually don't have every right to be here and I don't know why you'd ever think you do. Being a part of this community is a privilege and if you were smart, you'd stop abusing it.

As long as everyone abides by the rules, sure. I like to think that every man or woman has a right to free speech and opinion.

To be honest, I've simply defended my stance, I haven't abused it. It's tough being slandered against as a scam rat as @ Frizzle has stated. I have strong opinions which I leave in the debate thread, and I can't understand why so many people continue to prod the chip on their shoulder.

Is it possible to receive alerts on your phone? In a similar way to fb messages?

*sigh* The good old Neopets... Adam... Donna... Ollie... *cries*

I'd recommend Chinese - if your children have a more 'graphic' mind or are more visually orientated it should do quite well. It's fun and most definitely interesting. In my time spent learning it, I can honestly say that it has helped me understand and better utilise the English language better.

English and Chinese both follow a SVO sentence format which is very constructive and familiar. It's definitely not as hard as it looks, or what people may say about it.

One of the most incredible facets of this language is the culture and history that you get to learn about - it's a whole different world. I dunno if you like trivia or not but even some of the characters have historical events embedded within them.

...and I could go on forever.

And, yes, he wanted women's bodies - as much as any heterosexual man. He couldn't get any, so his mental disease 'made' him massacre innocent people. The end.

This is seriously devastating stuff. I don't want to over think it as it's painful. All I can say is I'm sorry for the parents of the victims and the shooter. Something that should never have happened.

All of this men vs women BS aside, Rodger was obviously mentally ill.

He is not an indicator of a normal person (or a normal man). 

I agree. While, yes, there are some misogynistic acts here, it's far from the most prominent one here. Firstly we have the gun issue, and secondly, the boy was seriously ill and traumatised. His act for 'vengeance' upon women is due to his mental condition, not by blatant choice.

His 'war on women' as some proclaim it really has little to do with sex and females. These are merely surface issues and I'm shocked that a large proportion of people who have been tweeting these messages can only see skin deep.

I think it's up to the users digression, but yeah, why not? I think legalizing it would also help reduce trafficking and organized crime.
