I've been interested in checking out Codex for a while now, and when registrations opened, I must say I was quite happy. I know a few of the members here already, but I could never seem to get an invite from them (read: was too lazy to bother asking them at 2AM in the morning). I gave up on Neopets and most other online webgames for quite some time, so I'll probably just end up hanging around the various general sections of the site when I'm online. Hopefully I can learn a lot about graphics and programming while I'm here, and maybe I'll stop by this fancy Debate subforum I see on the forums list...
Hmm. Let's see, what can I say about my interests.
Well, as to my reading, I enjoy mostly works of fiction. I'm a fan of all things medieval, and of course Shakespeare is an author my miniature library would never be complete without. Basically, you name it, and I have probably read it. I'm not much of Romance novel fan, though I am a hopeless romantic. I'm familiar with most of the authors, but not thier works.
On the subject of gaming... Well, if you can name a game I haven't at least heard of, I'd have to give you a bit of respect. Unless it's something you created yourself and haven't released to the public or market yet (cheater!
). My most recent gaming addiction is Guild Wars, with a side of Maple Story when nobody is online and I get sick of farming and/or question. I generally always have a console system hooked up and ready to turn on for play, and I have a few handhelds sitting on the top of my desk for when I get really tired and want to go to bed (which is a rare occurence, indeed). Yes, I am a gaming nerd. All ur base R belong 2 me!
My writing is mostly poetry. I do have several short stories stashed away somewhere, as well as a couple of ongoing novel projects I am struggling to complete. I've finished a few books over the years, which sadly were not published because the content was apparently not what society wanted (translation: wow, you're too revolutionary with your writing and concepts, we refuse to publish this because it might spur intelligent growth in the nation's youth!). I've written a few songs as well, and have composed music to go along with them, though I haven't quite shared many with the public (it's embarrassing...).
Hrm... Wonder if I should waste your time with anything else about myself. Probably not.
