What's the difference between the Shenkuu and regular 2500 NC cards again?

Well hmm. I wonder if we should stock Shenkuu cards then... I can get my hands on a ton of them.

I checked my transaction log, and you get 250 extra NC on top of the 150 NC, so in the end I got 2900 NC for a 2500 NC card

Shenkuu cards used to give out good prizes, now they're junk. Like Mikali mentioned you do get a bonus-bonus NC, but who knows how long that'll last.

I can hear my upstairs neighbors walking around at ~2am or so, but it doesn't bother me in the least. I guess it's just very relative. :/

I know that feeling. In my old apartment my downstairs neighbor would bang on the ceiling every time I tried to get up with the baby through the night. Eventually I ended up going down there and giving her a piece of my mind. Hopefully the old fart below you cuts you some slack!

I just found out that my housemates have been going into my room when I am not around, to reset the router for the house. Had they told me it was malfunctioning, I would have maybe fixed the problem and moved the router outside of my room so they do not need to enter my private living space. I need to get the fuck out of this house ASAP.

Carry a washable water bottle around with you. That's what I usually do seeing as how I tend to forget to drink enough water :P

Something with this world is pretty fucked if downloading a bunch of academic journals can potentially land you 35 years in prison and $1 million in fines in the US. The work of researchers, like myself, is not meant to be used only by the privileged few. RIP Aaron Swartz

Oh, I know. It's the prosecutors who are to blame in this case. JSTOR actually took the correct stance in this case, and offered the articles for free shortly after (with limitations).
