I don't remember the "first" time. I remember hearing we "thought" he might be dead, but this is the first of "we have his body."If they have the body, then I'm pretty sure their claim will be true.
To the pigs his body must go!

Your first sentence proves that corruption is prevalent within the ranks of our government. Their is a surplus of oil, yet prices rise. Interesting. As stated earlier, this isn't a debate. If we were there for oil, maybe gas would be a lot cheaper
There are a lot of things the government probably doesn't take seriously. If we took every threat super serious, it would cost tremendous amounts of money. We might have missed this one, and it cost us many civilian lives, but we (America) aren't perfect when it comes to security and we never will be. Attacks will happen, and we got our revenge from it. Mission complete.

Our primary mission was to kill or capture Osama Bin Laden. Mission. Fucking. Accomplished. I don't see how you can't grasp that. Talk about the other issues of war tomorrow... tonight is to celebrate the wonderful news.

Prevented the attack? How? By not letting anyone fly on an airplane? The attacks couldn't have been prevented, and if you think otherwise, please enlighten me on how.
You see this war based on big business and oil, but apparently it's not. Turn on the damn TV and watch the news. EVERYONE around the country is celebrating, regardless if they support the war or not. This isn't about big business or oil; this is about trying to ensure the world is a safe place for all. I will fight to my death to attempt to ensure freedom for every person in the world. With Bin Laden dead, we are one step closer to that.

No, no. I think you're reading this differently than I mean. Revenge won't bring back anyone, and I know this. However, we can't just let someone come to America and attack us and do nothing about it. I'm done arguing with you because you apparently fail to see the victory in his death. Call me ignorant or whatever you wish, but I know I'm happy, my service-member friends are happy, and a hell of a lot of Americans are happy about this.Your first sentence proves that corruption is prevalent within the ranks of our government. I'm glad we don't take all threats seriously in an effort to save money...otherwise we would experience the largest debt any country in the history of out planet has endured.
You're willing to accept that civilian lives (including the 100k+ innocent Iraqi civilians who have been murdered) because "we aren't perfect." Revenge would bring back my dead son or daughter, thats for sure...

Read my earlier post. I know what this means. I know what NorthCom going to Bravo means. I know more than you think I do; I plan on being in the Navy in two years, in the midst of another war. Him being dead is a HUGE victory in my eyes, and I'm ready to keep fighting to protect people and their freedoms.
You can keep playing the devil's advocate, but I don't care. Go America, go military, Hooyah! Do or die! Semper Fortis!

You are apparently too limited in your scope of political ideology. I disagree with Bush in his big government policies. That has absolutely nothing to do with supporting our troops who have been fighting for 10 fucking years for a day like today. That speech he gave was incredibly memorable and the line very applicable. I also disagree with Obama frequently, but it doesn't mean I don't support the position of the President of the United States or his words in support of our troops. I am not loyal to the president, I am loyal to my country, our troops, and our fellow patriots.Hypocrite. You bash bush until now.
The attack could have easily been prevented, just not in a free country.
And yes. They celebrate now. But what about the last 10 years when they protested? Its fickle and its disgusting.

Its so hilarious to defend the war for 10 years, and then be bashed by people ho previously bashed me for defending the war.
You guys are so fickle it disgusts me.

People not in the army/military just don't understand that killing him is like it's good and all but it's not the end-all you know? It's so much more complicated than people know..my dad is an E7 in the military..

Very well said, G!This is amazing news to wake up to!
I'm so glad and proud of the American, British, and other forces that have been involved in this war.
I'm sure the families of many of the 3000 or so victims of 9.11 and thousands and thousands of Military and civilian casualties feel as though Justice has been done.
Even though I am not directly involved, this is without question great news and my personal opinion of those who say "I don't care" need to maybe take a moment and think about the people who have suffered so much loss and tragedy.
