I was going to write a blog post about how I've changed my diet in the past couple months, but here's some liver info.

If you're thinking about doing it, DON'T GET GROCERY STORE LIVER.

I think you should do a blog post, it would be very informational for a lot of people I would think.

And the question running through my head while reading your post: where do you buy it from and how do you know what quality/grade you are getting?

I am going to do some more research because it sounds like a lot of the things that you were suffering from before and currently plaguing me and I'm always open to try new things.

If you aren't willing to try raw liver or are worried about potential negative side effects, you can buy desiccated liver in pill form online. It's way cheaper just to swallow chunks of liver though. I buy my liver from a semi-local butcher for about 2.60/lb. I got his email and emailed him every question I could think of, searched the internet for trustworthiness, etc. I buy bones from the same guy for bone broth. The other issue with grocery store liver, besides the shit they feed cows that are sold in grocery stores, is that the doors of the freezers are constantly being opened and shut. It's almost impossible to maintain a safe temperature.

Food has literally changed my life. I have spent at least 15 thousand trying to fix my health problems before giving up shortly after my littlest monster was born. I've spent 60 dollars in the last three months changing what I eat and how I supplement and have fixed 90% of my problems. I'm pretty sure the other 10% has to do with willpower.

I would actually also be very interested in reading a blog about this, if you find the time one day. Very interesting.

Now I have a strange question, if anyone wants to weigh in. I just moved to the States on a Fiance visa (no easy task, let me tell you.) And the part of the country I have moved to is HOT. Like, the fierceness of a thousand suns in the summer, and it is utterly miserable. And not only that, it is giving me hives?! Like proper, nearly full body hives when I am outside and specifically active in the heat. Even just going for a walk. But during the winter it has been pretty much ok. I dont know if it's the dramatic change in temperature or if I am allergic to alligators, or what. This actually isn't the first place this kind of reaction has happened, but it is the worst here. And it does seem to get worse when I have my period? But I can't figure out why. I dont take birth control, and haven't for a few years (my fella had a visectomy), and have tried fiddling with my diet to see if something makes it worse than other times., but I am totally at a loss. Allergic to exercise??!!!!!

    Sad itchy times.

Sounds like it could be solar urticaria, or something similar, especially if it happens mostly in the summer when you're wearing little/thin clothes.

Have you tried taking any antihistamines? Might be something in the air that you aren't used to/allergic to.

Maybe, uticaria is a word that doctors threw around but they generally told me I would grow out of it and that was sort of the end of it haha. And I think it is in part to my skin temp getting warmer, because it is much better in the winter but if I properly sprint down the road or something, then I start to get them. Just takes more effort in cold weather.

Yes I have used them for a long time, but I think over time they have become less and less effective.

Anyone had any experiences with naturopaths or something of the like??

Florida or East Texas?  Lot of plants in either that could be triggering a reaction, combined with the humidity and heat.  There is also the water that you shower or bath with, sometimes with chloramine that is used it can trigger an reaction.

Good. Immature boys need to learn the bullshit we have to go through with our bodies. They want to make jokes about how "Damn, she's so bitchy, she must be on her period" without understanding that discomfort and stress that woman must be going through. Immature boys want pussy, but when you mention tampons they run away scared. It's a beast, boys. It's a fuckin' savage beast. Whenever a guy makes a comment about menstruation I am sure to discuss it in great detail and when they say "That's too much information" I let them know it's not ENOUGH information. If I have to suffer, I swear to God, I am bringing everyone down with me.

You think your penis is important to me in any degree? I can live without your dick. In fact, this is what I think of your dick.

    sloth_sock_puppet.gif

    Splat at your dick.

I am so riled up right now I accidentally plus repped you. I have no idea how that happened. I was typing with such vigor, I must have tabbed and entered and when I looked up, there it was.

    Omg lol! Brilliant!

In other news I spoke to the Dr today, they say my heart issues aren't caused by my BC. The bitch refused to even listen to me about the other issues I've been having with it. Instead she said 'I'll confer with a co-worker and get back to you about your pill'

    Bitch didn't call me back!

So, the 21st of next month while I'm laying back, naked from the waist down, and she has her fucking eyes on the intimate details of my hoo-ha I'm going to make her listen!

Have you had an allergy test? I know colloidial oatmeal baths help with skin problems. Also a proper diet - steer clear of bad foods and keep a log of triggers if the allergy test doesn't confirm anything specific. You can pinpoint it yourself that way - has worked for me in the past. Your body is experiencing a change in temperature and is responding in this way. The skin is always the last indicator of the inner workings of your body - I'm sure your stress levels aren't helping your body to get used to major change.

ew no way! the moment I get home from work, the girls go FREEEEEE!

Edit: But that's a legit questiion.. do any of you other GIRLS wear your bra to bed? and/or why?

I did when I was a kid, because I had a big chest early on, and I was uncomfortable with my boobies flopping around, so I would always wear a bra to bed. Until I got into high school and they were too big and uncomfortable, and I realized that letting them free was the way to go after being cooped up in a straight jacket all day.

Does the bra restrict your freedom? I remember how there was a health warning about letting the funbags out, particularly when running (eg: sport bras not having as much support).

I have a ermm large chest. When I'm home and chillin it's no big deal. When when running I wear a bra AND a sports bra to help hold these puppies down. Running is particularly painful in my chest so I don't run -breathes heavily- hehheh

It depends. If I think I'm going to get laid, I don't. I think it actually increases my midget making chances when I don't. If I think my chances are slim, then I'll just go ahead and wear it so I don't have to bother putting one on in the morning.

Yes. I skip mine quite frequently because of stress.

I was just reading through this thread, and I reckon this probably factors into why I don't get periods at all. I get stressed really easily, and I'm also quite small, so that probably makes a difference as well?

When I asked my gynecologist if many people sometimes take long or don't get their periods at all, the answer was just that every person is different and you can't tick off a catalog of characteristics and are more or less prone to have irregular/skip periods. =_=

That doesn't mean you shouldn't see a doctor. If you haven't gotten your period at all by your late teens, there could very well be something wrong. Being "small" isn't really a risk factor unless you're underweight, malnourished, and/or over-exercise, and that typically applies to women who have late or missed periods. It could be stress, but if you're getting so stressed that it's taking its toll on you physically, maybe you should see a doctor anyway. Absent periods could also be a sign of something more serious, like PCOS or thyroid problems.

    @Trichomes I agree. All I wanted to say was that I was told there are no general rules you can go by. I would freak out if I suddenly skipped a period but for others it might be more common with them being perfectly healthy. Just because it's different for everyone it is not a reason to never see a doctor. I didn't want to imply that ^^;

Hmm fair enough.  I'm not really concerned enough to go to the doctors at the moment though, I'm pretty much healthy and feeling good, maybe a little underweight, but I always eat until I'm full, so I don't really think there's anything I can do about that :)

Trich is right though - if you never get periods you should be visiting a doctor to rule out more serious problems. You might feel healthy/ good now, but who knows what other things are lurking underneath the surface. You may not be concerned enough now, but getting yourself checked out could mean the difference between being fertile or being sterile. There are heaps of reasons why you may not be getting your period (and it could be completely harmless/ normal), but don't think that just because you feel 'fine' you are not at risk of something more serious.
